I've been getting my taxes done at the Woodside Branch with Stella for six years and always found her services to be reliable and professional. She does my taxes for me since I am not by any means a tax pro, she's thorough and gets me a good refund. I've never had an issue with H&R Block until this past week when I had a time sensitive billing matter to deal with regarding my taxes. Not only could I not get a hold of her or her office because that branch was closed, but the people I have talked to, Margaretta from the Rego Park Branch and Bert from the Jamaica branch have proven themselves unreliable. At first there was no issue, I sent them the needed documents, they claimed they uploaded it to my H&R Account, having been unable to access this information I have emailed them three times where to access it, and it has been crickets on their end. From this experience, I gather H&R Block is only reliable during tax season. And if you are not a tax pro yourself and have an issue and it isn't tax season, you are pretty much screwed and left to pay a much larger bill and figure every complicated financial thing out on your own. And that is not right. As a tax pro service, you should be providing reliable service throughout the year so we clients aren't left to our own device and possibly paying much their tax bills then we should be paying.

Andrea went above and beyond to help me with my taxes. She was always honest and upfront about everything. And then I found out I messed it up and had to ask her to redo some of my taxes, which she promptly did. I couldn’t thank her enough for her services.

Our experience at H&R Block on Broadway in Astoria was FANTASTIC. We were so happy with Kathy Santorelli and her professionalism. She was concise, warm, and a wealth of knowledge. We enjoyed talking to her and really were impressed with the efficiency of H&R Block. We were able to know our refund and what we owed within 50 minutes. It was the easiest experience I've had regarding my income taxes. THANK YOU GUYS! :)

What an absolute joke. I had an appt with Alice Jackson to hopefully have some of my very basic questions answered about business deductions, but all she said was “fill out a line on your expenses in your online form.” I had begun filling out my tax form on H&R’s website and she couldn’t even pull it up on her computer to help me finish it bc they’re platform is different at the branch(?!!) Not even a basic question could be answered about business deductions (how to do it? How do people normally deduct it?) She had a blank face and really couldn’t care less to help me. You’d expect more from an established company to at least be able to pull up my profile. Waste of time!

Poor communication and it´s difficult to schedule a call or meeting with your tax preparer. I paid 400$ and only had a 10 min call with her. It was difficult to find time with her in regular week hours because she was not available and I ended having my call with her on Friday at 7.00PM...

I filled my taxes with them last year and this year. It was a very effortless and seamless process. I had more forms last year than I had this year and I was explained in detail about each form. Making an appointment was easy as well. But if you’re going to make an appointment with anyone I suggest Mary P. (She has a very long last name lol) she is absolutely WONDERFUL. Loved every minute of my interaction with her! She is very knowledgeable and will help you however you need it! Will definitely return again next year!
