I had appointment at 10am waited an hour then said couldn't take me because a client they had was taking time. Fine, made phone appointment to have them call me at 4pm just so he can work with me over the phone. 4pm come and gone. No word, no email, no apology, no communication. Nothing. Go to another office, this is the 3rd time it happened at this location

This is my third time doing taxes here and today I have the opportunity to meet Michael who’s never done my taxes before . He absolutely did his best while filing my taxes explained everything and was very understanding when I was missing paperwork I needed to come back . Thank you

AVOID AVOID AVOID!For the past two years, I've had an awful experience at h&r block. This year, I even went to a different location in Astoria, because I thought maybe the awfulness was specific to the 30th ave location - BUT I WAS WRONG! They were still awful.A few days ago, I called this office asking for an appointment. The man I spoke with was helpful and kind. He called me back a couple hours later and said they can squeeze me in for an appointment today, Saturday, at noon. He also said if I could upload my documents before the appointment, it would speed the appointment along. I happily did so.This morning, it was raining, so I took an Uber to the h&r block, only to get there and be told that they are too busy to see me at all. "Can you just upload your documents online?"Shouldn't they have called me this morning to say that they could not keep my appointment?Or shouldn't they have just told me in the first place that I could just upload my documents and that an appointment was unnecessary?I've now wasted half of my Saturday for an appointment that they couldn't keep, I'm out of the money I spent on the uber, and I'm no closer to getting my taxes done.Like I said - AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Maria Torrez was efficient and prepared for my appointment. Most years it takes over an hour to have my taxes done. Due to Maria's preparation and professionalism it was a 45 minute experience that felt like 5 minutes.
