Selection is empty at places, lot of stuff behind glass cases and prices marked incorrectly. Security guard was helpful though and kind.
Got friction from the evening shift manager when I showed the label on the price tag was different from the register price but luckily an associate there helped correct the price.

The en-shittification of rite aid continues. Everything behind glass, shelves empty. Shop somewhere else. They deserve to go out of business.

The place is a hot mess. They ought to close up shop as their business is beyond repair.

I'm assuming this place is going to close because they never have anything in stock. The shelves are so empty. Its to bad because the staff if very nice and is in a very convenient location. However some staff at the pharmacy are very rude and seem like they couldn’t care less about the patients.

If you're looking for conditioner, you better hope the 1 bottle they have in the whole section suits your needs!
By far the worst pharmacy I've ever been to.

I just visited the store and was asked for ID to buy OTC cough and cold medicine. And, I had an expired ID. They refused to sell me this medicine, which involved me being sick and having to go home to get a passport to pay for this. I have never been asked for ID to buy OTC medicine in all my years here in Astoria. And, the cashier refused to budge. I really wish this store would just close and get replaced by Walgreens/CVS. They have entire shelves empty.

Workers are nice, but what an awful store. Everything is locked behind glass. You feel like a criminal for simply wanting a soda. Don't reward this awful business model with your business.
Riteaid hates everyone who lives in this neighborhood.

The store is really empty nowadays and barely has things in stock. Pharmacy line is usually so long as well. The cashiers at the front seem a bit lacking - we asked for change for a $10 after purchasing items and she lied to us and said they have no money in the register, despite us literally seeing her open and close the register with plenty of cash. This place seems like it's going to shut down any minute.

Waited 10 minutes for someone to open the locked door for toothpaste after asking up front and gave up and left. Unimaginably bad service.

This store is a disgrace. For roughly one year, they've been unable to keep basic items in stock - like body wash, deodorant, or various food/candy items. The staff behind the register has consistently (for the 14 years I've been going here) been slow to ring up customers' purchases, so thankfully there's now a self-checkout option.
I'll update this review with photos of the dismal looking store shelves.
The company has closed three other neighborhood Rite Aid locations in the past two years. I don't know why this location
remains if this is the condition they plan on keeping it in.

If they even have the thing you're looking for, it will be locked up and take 10 minutes to get daddy to unlock it. This place will be out of business in a year, as they basically don't even sell anything.

Rite Aid should just shut this store down to make space for a better pharmacy. No one answers the phone as is and the store does not have anything worthwhile.

Literally what is the point of locking up EMPTY SHELVES??? At least stock the shelves if they’re going to be locked up anyway?? How is this place still open… absolutely useless

I never leave ratings but I just went through the most terrible customer experience ever that will make me avoid Rite Aid in the future at all costs. Here is what happened:
Placed order at 9am online.
It said it should be ready in an hour and they would notify me.
At 12pm, 3 hours later, still nothing.
I called the store and no one picked up.
I called the main customer service line and they also said they could not reach the store.
I asked for a refund.
The rep said I would have to go to the store.
Isn’t the whole point of ordering online to not have to go to the store and go thru this whole process? This is literally the most ridiculous and painful customer experience I have ever had.
Now I have to go to the store, look for the item myself, and on top of that also potentially ask for a refund which I wasn’t even promised they would give me.
DO NOT put yourself through this. You will 100% regret it.
