Horrible customer service. It’s not clear where the queue for jewelry is. When I called her, she made a face as if I were bothering her. She seems to help customers based on who she personally likes (her name Ayssa)

I went in there last month. I bought a lot of stuff. The cashier said you can get a big discount if you apply for a TJ Maxx credit card which we did they approved me. Oh congratulation you have been approved. OK they give me the discount. The amount was $273.60. I paid cash $300 bill bills she gave me back $30 next month. I see a bill from the credit card saying that I owe the money which I paid in cash. I didn’t realize it until the month come I’m still trying to dispute this matter. Very bad service.

Terrible customer service.
The night manager lady on November 25 is rude and left me waiting for while she fussed with non-customer tasks.
After 10 minutes, she made up a ridiculous high price for an item in the clearance rack. I left all other items behind and left the store in disgust.
I swear I’ll never to come back here.

EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional with certain people, besides arrogant.

The cashier kept trying to get me to sign up for a credit card. I said “no thanks” but she ignored me and kept pushing. The person in line behind me even sighed.

New BAD manager.
I used to come here with our family every weekend and buy lots of things we definitely didn’t need, but that’s part of the joy of TJ Maxx. We will no longer be shopping here, due solely to the new male manager. He is anti-dogs despite the fact TJ Maxx is dog-friendly. We brought our 10lb quiet, well-behaved rescue mix with us every weekend to this location since we moved to Astoria two years ago. Today was the last time. Fire him.

This was my first—and sadly, likely my last—visit to this TJ Maxx location.
While the store is bigger than the one in Rego Park, it’s extremely disorganized. Clothing racks are a mess, with sizes completely mixed up, making it frustrating to shop.
What really ruined the experience was the behavior of one employee. An Asian middle age male staff member was sorting packages in a high-traffic area. I accidentally took his cart, thinking it was just left unattended, and he yelled at me loudly in front of other customers. I apologized, but it was humiliating. He also shouted at another woman for the same mistake.
This kind of unprofessional and aggressive behavior is unacceptable. Customers come to shop, not to be yelled at. No surprise the area around him was chaotic—people probably just give up and toss things aside in frustration.
I recommend going to the Rego Park location instead, where you’re treated with basic respect.
Management here seriously needs to step in!

This store is Astoria. It is surrounded by other major stores. It is clean and well stocked. The staff is willing to help. The bathroom is clean. You can take the N train to the last stop. Parking is very challenging.

Avoid this location if you value decent customer service. The staff clearly doesn’t want to be there—rude attitudes all around. One employee snapped at me when I asked if an item had a price tag. And don’t bother looking for the manager; they’re either hiding or just don’t care. The store itself was disgusting—dust bunnies everywhere, and it looked like no one had cleaned in days.
