My mom got me a new phone for my birthday and she shipped it to me. I tried to do the line transfer myself at home and a message popped up stating that the SIM card was not supported and that I needed to reach out to Verizon. I thought, oh well I have to trade my old phone in anyways so let’s just take it to the Verizon store down the street. Big mistake, huge. I get there and explain what happened and they proceed to disregard what I said and spent an hour trying to update my phone because that was apparently the issue in their eyes. I ask them why they can’t just manually transfer the line and they tell me they can’t do that because their system was having an issue. After it was updated, what do you know, same message pops up about the SIM card. The rep is confused. Only now does he ask me what kind of phone I have and then says ohhhh well yeah it’s an older phone so that makes sense. ? then we spent another hour on hold with Verizon AT VERIZON for someone to manually change the line for me. Something that should have been done the second I walked in but no, they didn’t want to listen to me when I told them the initial error message. After the line is transferred, I had picked out a new case while I was waiting and he was in the process of charging me for it. And then he tells me he can’t sell it to me because it’s not in their system…. How can that even be the case when it was on the floor to begin with? He asked me if I wanted something else and I said no please just let me leave. So I will never be returning to this location. I am so incredibly disappointed with this experience.

Worst customer service experience with their Representative JUAN. 0 customers service with undeniably rude and unhelpful behavior. I’m a 5 years loyal customer and really disappointed with Verizon at this time.

Absolutely horrible experience. I tried to come in to ask some questions about switching to a Verizon account.I ended up having multiple employees yelling at me, telling me what I was trying to do wasn't possible.Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Terrible experience. We ordered phones from Verizon online and had them shipped to the store. When we went to go pick them up, we got the runaround. No one wanted to release the phones. They LIED several times to both myself and my husband. My husband waited 3 hours and finally they released the phones. The phones that we paid for!!!!!I would never go back to this store.

Would run away run run run from this store. My phone was stolen and turned into this store which was over an hour away from my house just to be told they had no record of it ever being there after I had already spoken to multiple customer reps telling me in their records it’s there. It was a waste of my time and don’t recommend anyone to go here

Went into the Verizon on Steinway the day after I had turned in an Apple Watch SE with a cracked screen to the Verizon store on Lexington Ave. in Manhattan. The Series 8 watch I was given in Manhattan had a wristband that was way too small to fit my wrist. The salesperson there had given me the wrong size :( I explained to the salesperson (Luis) in Astoria, and asked for a larger wristband. He explained that they could take the watch back, and give me another, but there would be a $50 restocking fee. He said I could call Customer Support and ask to have it waived. He recommended that an alternative would be to get another, larger wristband for $25 at Apple. I was going to that, but annoyed at the guy in Manhattan (he also misled me about the Series 8 having longer battery life). As I was about to leave, one of the other salespeople (Albert) came up to me, and said "Here, try this..." with another larger wrist band, the correct one for me. It fit well enough for me to put it on my wrist! No charge and problem solved. Thanks to Luis and Albert for taking care of me! I know the store hasn't gotten great reviews in the past, but for me, they came through with 5 Stars!

Please have a way to contact store directly without being taken to a call center wasted over a hr on phone becuase it transfers me to call center will give better review once corporate and actual store communicate better. As a store manager for ubreakifix this is appalling.

Verizon in general is terrible. I have spent 6 hours over 5 weeks on the phone trying to get my I phone unlocked. I'm at the point now where I will be canceling my Fios as my "elevated" response.
