I wish I could leave a 0 star review. There’s never been a more manipulative, abusive business. From out of country “support”
that does not answer, to trumped up billing, increased rates without notice, I’m shaken to the core of poor business management. Currently they have picked up my tank with 200+ gallons to credit and won’t re-open my account to credit it.

After being a will call customer for 6 years with a 50 lb tank, we changed providers for a better price because our usage was going to increase significantly due to a boiler swap.
When requesting an empty tank pickup, the operator failed to mention the charges involved. It amounted to $199.99 for the tank pickup fee and $99.99 for dispatch fee. They drove the tank 8 miles to their facility. If I had bee aware of the charges, I would have dropped it off myself or let it sit behind my shed.
On their website in January 2024, the tank pickup fee was shown to be $149.99 not $199.99 (I printed the pages of their services and fees). In addition, their dispatch fee description stated that a dispatch fee was related to CUSTOMER OWNED EQUIPMENT and this tank was owned by them.
I called 3 times in the span of 5 weeks, each time being told that a dispute was being filed regarding the charges and being reassured there would be no late fees while they were processing this. Then I receive another full bill with a late fee. I call again and they transfer me to a resolution specialist, I wait 15 minutes and the call drops. I call again, same thing happens. Then my wife gets in an online chat and the person says someone will call in 2-3 hours. They call the next day and notify us that they rejected the dispute claim, which they never told us. Then they say the best they can do is charge us the $149.99, which is what it should have been in the first place according to their website.
In the end, that charge should have been lowered or dropped due to the horrible communication and ridiculous overcharging of a tank pickup. It's basically a middle finger for dropping their service. The people on the phone were nice but this company sucks and their reviews on google and the BBB reflect that perfectly. Use someone local who has staff made up of local people, even if it's a little more expensive.

After no show delivery in Feb that left my family freezing without heat, I'm waiting months for you to get your empty tank off my property.
A certified letter is in the mail. Get your abandoned tank, or it goes to the dump #amerigascatskill

CUSTOMER SERVICE READS THE SAME SCRIPT EVERY TIME YOU CALL
They don't deliver gas and then they refuse to pick up empty tank. And had the nerve to charge me for rental of this abandoned tank!!!
I'm going to sue this company.

Do not use them. We have called numerous times before and still waiting for months and they even gave us dates when they were coming. We had an accident last weekend - my nephew fell and hit his head on the tank. It has now become a hazard. These tanks MUST be removed from my property in Athens, Ny. There are no local representative to speak to. And now we are getting called from a debt collector for the balance we owe them. We need a local representative to contact us to resolve this matter or we will contact our town representatives to expedite this matter.

Failed to call back even after several requests to fix non working water heater. Took 9 months to pickup their tanks after cancelation.

Literally the worst and least responsive company I've ever tried to work with. We simply want them to pick up 2 propane tanks used by the former owner of our house. Have called many times. Each time you get someone who sooo wants to help. They take all your information and I believe they turn around and throw it in the trash. Literally don't know what to do. Anyone want 2 propane tanks? Highly recommend Nolan Propane. Do not use Amerigas.
