“This is my second stay at The Nest. I have had to travel for a non-profit organization though out the Hudson Valley. There has been many horrific adventures in my attempts to find acceptable and reasonably priced lodging. The Nest surpasses all of them. “Lovely, cozy, atmospheric room ! cool AC during the heat wave, comfy bed. snacks and nespresso, complementary water. Super simple self check in and check out. Walking distance to great restaurants ( Farmer and Son) ! stay here !”
“I’ve stayed with friends in “The Lodge” and most recently in “The Hideout”. Wonderful place. It is so peaceful. You could spend your stay relaxing at your tiny home and enjoying the amenities on site. There’s a pool, a tiny gym, a gorgeous waterfall as well as a 24/7 pantry with items you may have forgotten to bring with you or maybe just for a midnight snack. There are plenty of great hiking spots nearby as well as small towns with lots of character and shops. We’ll be back again soon!”
“The cabins are comfortable and I liked the authentically vintage furnishings & appointments. The swim club was so nice and relaxing during my visit and having the stocked pantry for snacks and drinks was an added bonus. The property is directly off a main road but that makes it easy to get to many nearby spots.”

“Went in April for a quick weekend getaway. Beautiful grounds to explore, such thoughtfully-designed tiny cabins, and welcoming staff. We loved enjoying the nearby areas and then ending the day with smores at the campfire. We hope to come back again!”
“My husband and I arrived in Hudson, New York, a day before our Airbnb reservation. We quickly searched for another hotel, and fortunately, The Hudson Whaler had one available, so we booked it. The desk attendant was warm and welcoming when we checked in. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were spacious. We had a great stay and will definitely consider returning.”

“This was our first visit to Hudson and The Howard Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We found the communication for check-in to be very easy and thorough. Questions were answered promptly. It is centrally located and easy to walk to shops, galleries, and restaurants in the area. The room had every amenity addressed and was very quiet. A comfy bed, well-appointed bath, and common areas both inside and out, made for a delightful stay.”
“Had the wedding of our absolute DREAMS here. Guests from all over couldn't stop commenting on how much they loved the venue and how special it all felt and that is all due to the amazing team. Mallory the Director of Venue Operations is the definition of DO-er energy. She was so supportive and excited by all the things we were doing to make the wedding ours. She made us feel genuinely so taken care of and the whole weekend (my heart melted when she brought me non-alcoholic champagne so I could do a toast with my husband after our first look—I don't drink and I get so overlooked especially in a wedding environment lol). It was also incredibly special staying at the venue with friends and family. The Bridal Loft is to die for, I really miss it!

“Nice staff, convenient location 15 minutes drive from Catskill. They turned on the pool 1 hour before the regular time so we could enjoy it before checkout. No vreakfast, but we used a picnic table near the pool to make our own breakfast.
Rooms are cozy though air consitioning is old and noisy, but we did not need it much.
Located close to a road so there was a bit of car noise. Great mountainous area will good views.
Great value for money, cheaper than anything around, at least on Google and Booking”
“Really cute cabins in a remote location. WiFi a necessity and it was decent but not great. Super relaxing even with outings like hiking and shopping in towns nearby and also has a small spa on site. The sleeper hit was the food here. We ate locally as well but dinner in the restaurant was one of the better meals we’ve had in a very long time and we’ve eaten in high end restaurants all over the world.”
“This is an appreciation review to the friendly and very accomodating staff of the hotel. We came in late in the evening tragedy, our Airbnb having not worked out, needing a room that could accommodate 3 people and a dog. The staff on front desk were sympathetic and quick to help. I was so impressed and grateful”
“Good option for getting off the road at a reasonable price. Friendly, quick and easy check-in. The rooms are definitely dated and could use some extra cleaning TLC behind furniture but was descent for the most part. Beds were comfy but flat pillows. Street noise was minimal overnight but start early in the morning. Mini fridge and microwave are a nice touch if you need that”

“Holiday inn express is one of my favorite chains to use for reliability, cleanliness, and level of service. Everyone has a rough time once in a while, main reason I come here is for home away from home while I work. This place is fairly clean, and the staff did their best. After a 9 hour drive I was looking forward to getting into the hot tub to relax my back. 4 day stay, the hot tub amd pool were out of service for maintenance. This is important to me as hotels dont jave tubs anymore, just showers. I really wanted to soak my body after work and the long drive.
Staff had no clue what was wrong with the pool or when it would be back up and running.
Come to find out when I called to book and asked if they had a pool and hot tub it wasn't working. I guess its my fault for not asking if it was functional when I booked.
I went to iron my clothes for work, to find that the iron in my room is broken.
Holiday Inn had a rough week.
483.00 for 3 nights plus New York Taxes on taxes. Im sure they will fix all the problems before my next visit.
On to the great stuff. The beds are very comfortable, clean. The hot water is constant, breakfast is very good as well.
They have those new coffee machines that brew the perfect cup every time.
The town doesn't have much, but there is a family run restaurant near by called Paul's. Its authentic Italian and Let me tell you about seafood just down the road from the hotel called Reds. Very good offerings.
If you need a hot tub or pool, ask if its working before you book.
I got let down a bit but hey no one is perfect all the time! See you all next time

“My husband and I spent 3 days last week at the Inn. We have been there many times through the years. It is under a new ownership who continues to make you feel very comfortable. They gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. The manager went out of her way to accommodate my gluten free diet supplying me with GF muffins and more. The room was cozy. Our dog loved it there. It was a very positive experience.”
“My husband and I stayed here for one night for a quick one day vacation through Hudson. It's an easy and pretty 5 minute walk to the main street where all the restaurants and shops are. We weren't looking for a fancy hotel. We just wanted a simple and clean place to stay for the night which is exactly what this place is. The front desk was very helpful and the breakfast in morning was a nice combination of eggs, sausage, waffles (you make em!), and coffee. Highly recommend.”
