We had the prime rib special which was cooked perfectly. The apple blueberry crisp with real whip cream was delicious. Great food at a great price!

Such a lovely place! Everything from the venue to the service to the food was very good. LOVE that it is on the water. Wish we could have enjoyed it, but we will be back to. Bar and restaurant both were nice and the live music was enjoyable and not too loud.

We had such a wonderful time with our son & daughter-in-law. Had just arrived from Georgia & celebrated birthdays. The food & service were outstanding & The Stewart House made our evening extra special. Love this place!

A very eclectic place. Restored hotel restaurant in Athens NY. A charming, quirky type of place Menu reasonable selection Service very good. A very nice father's day dinner!

Friday night mussels and martinis is an excellent buy and delicious! The special soft shell crab was great too!

The location couldn’t be more perfect! The rooms were beautifully designed. The Hudson River view from our corner room was sublime. However, the other problems made our romantic (and expensive) Memorial Day weekend stay quite unpleasant.
There was no housekeeping, which we were not informed about until after we booked. The tiny trash can in our room was overflowing and stinking, and we were running out of toilet paper. I left a message at the number we were emailed, but we got NO RESPONSE, nothing! Imagine paying $300 per night for your room and not even getting toilet paper replenishment. We were there 3 nights!
The bar downstairs and across the street are quite noisy, so be prepared.
We did not even get a friendly ‘How was your stay?’ from the Owner we bumped in to our way out. Next time we are finding another Hudson River hotel that likes our money and provides us service.

one of my favorite spaces anywhere, the bar and restaurant are gorgeous. cocktails are always great and the food is a step (or two) above.

Love the setting, food, and their outdoor area in summer, but underwhelmed for inside dining. Beautiful space. Friendly, but unpolished staff for a place this pricey. Been three times and I'm always slightly disappointed. Salads too big and falling off the plates, hot soup served cold, main dishes a bit bland. They could serve smaller portions for a bit less; every dish is just bigger not better. Menu looks great, but just not flavorful. I will keep trying bc I want them to succeed and the space is great. Also, had reservations and still waited 20 mins.

We wanted a nice dinner and were recommended to go to the Stewart house, it did not disappoint! Such a cool/unique vibe, we ended up sitting in the tavern which was a more casual (but fun) vibe! It also happened to be burger night which was a great deal! Delicious meal and a beer. We will definitely be back.
