“Heavy doors and low curb without a cut make navigation with a wheelchair difficult. There is an elevator.
We were there for a catered affair and I don't know if the caterer is independent.
They moved the crowds well, the facility is clean and nicely decorated.
There is a large parking lot.
Staff was helpful and supportive.”

“My husband and I had our wedding here on 2/16/24. It was the best day that we could have had. The staff is incredibly helpful, considerate, and truly made us feel cared for. The owner, John, and his staff (specifically James and Lisa) made this day so amazing for us. They were so good that I planned a wedding without a planner or a day-of coordinator and I was not worried in the slightest! The value you get at Stewart Manor is unbeatable and we will definitely be having more events there in the future!”

“We had a beautiful baby shower here in May 2024. Everything came out perfect. My guests had a wonderful time, they loved both the indoor and tented areas. I was able to play photos on the TV's and we had music throughout the space. Dana and her team assisted the entire time, and helped make the event run smoothly from start to finish. I highly recommend it!”

“One of the best aviation museums I have been able to visit. The spaces are very large and there are scenes that accurately recreate every detail of the period. It has unique and original pieces as well as very well-made replicas.
The experience is even better thanks to the guides who were the best! They are very prepared, knowledgeable people and absolutely committed to their work. The love they have for their work is evident in their kindness and good treatment of each visitor.

“The owners were amazing this spot is very beautiful and then a great location if you have to drive or take the train. I really loved that they had chairs and tablecloths readily available and even the big Grand chair if you're having a baby shower or bridal shower or just honoring anyone at an event. There's also a heating area that can heat all your food that's not ready to be taken out and placed into serving trays yet.”

“Attended a baby shower at this beautiful and spacious venue and thought how cool it was that it's above an active firehouse.The hall space is located on the 2nd floor and does not have an elevator but the steps are short. There is a fully equipped bar, ice machine kitchen and ample space with 2 super clean bathrooms. If you're expecting guests, there is a parking lot around the corner. The views from the building are beautiful and thinking of booking this in the future.”

“I saw Tiesto here. The venue is really cool. The open amphitheater layout really distributes the sound nicely. I was in the bowl section and didn't need ear plugs, my ears were not ringing by the end of the night. Ear plugs are normally a must for indoor venues.”

The space is well laid out with sections for seating, dancing, entrance for when the star of the event arrives, and even a private room for the honoree.
Lighting, decorations, and every aspect of the space are absolutely stunning, and she was able to customize everything to our colors and themes.
We hosted our daughters sweet 16 here, and we were blown away by all the guests who raved about the venue. Without a doubt a 10/10 that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a venue in the Valley Stream area.”

“I believe this was one of the best birthday events I gave my kids! After everything was done, all parents called back and said how much fun everyone had! My daughter had a bday event here today. First off, I would like to point out that Ashley was our artist that was in charge of roughly 19 kids plus adults. She was very kind, friendly, and helpful with all questions we had. She knew how to lead the group and gave us a break down how things would run. She needs a raise. As per the venue it self. I give it 5 stars. Very clean, a/c was on full blast, open space, high ceilings. We had Ashley lead the kids to paint on a canvas. Her pace was just right. Obviously some kids were quicker than other, but she had assistants that walked around and helped those kids that needed help. Then they gave kids a break where we had food. Followed by face painting. We added an extra hour which I believe made a huge difference, since it didn't feel rushed. Only complaint that there's only one bathroom. But it's first world problems.”

“I just had my daughter’s birthday at Kids N shape in Howard Beach. This is the third party I have done with them. This is the best place for parties! The staff take care of everything. Decor, food, activities. It is clean and safe. The employees are beyond helpful, sweet and willing to go out of their way to give the kids a great time. Christine has always been a great help when planning and when the day comes. It’s easy to get overwhelmed planning parties but she makes it so effortless and you feel relaxed ! All the kids always so excited when they get invited to a kids n shape party! They know they will have a blast. Thank you! Looking forward tk future parties with them!”

“This is my fourth summer staying at The Rockaway Hotel, and I genuinely love supporting local businesses—especially one that allows for a chic little staycation so close to home. The location is ideal, and this summer, I’ve noticed a marked improvement in the beach amenities. Chris is doing a fantastic job—truly a highlight of the experience.
That said, there are a few things I wish the hotel would consider for future guests:
• Room Comfort: The pillows in the rooms leave much to be desired, and the lack of USB or USB-C charging ports feels outdated in 2025.
• Weekend Experience: Be aware that summer weekends feature live concerts on the patio that go until 10 PM—fun for some, but not exactly conducive to a relaxing evening.
• Pricing vs. Value: Rates on weekends are steep given the room size and overall service level.
• Family-Friendly Vibes: While I understand that families make up a large part of the clientele, the pool area can get quite chaotic. As someone who comes to unwind, I often wish there was a more serene, adults-only vibe—at least in designated spaces.
Still, The Rockaway Hotel has carved out a special niche, and I continue to return because the location, the team, and the spirit of the place feel like summer to me. I hope they keep evolving—and listening.”

“We just held a party for 80 family and friends to celebrate the upcoming wedding of our daughter and her fiancé at The Ocean Club. To be with loved ones in such an awe-inspiring setting was magical; the ocean, the most beautiful white sand, the gorgeous sunset-all enjoyed from their beautiful deck..:then the indoor and outdoor bar....and lovely ballroom. the atmosphere is casual yet elegant festive yet calm. There were really three parts to the experience and all three were perfect. First there is the period of selecting and working with the team: they couldn't have been more cooperative and helpful and responsive and flexible. Second is the event itself: ran absolutely smoothly and everything they said they would handle, they handled with great care. Third after the event; we left some items behind and they were in touch with us the very next morning. The Ocean Club works with one caterer and man what a skilled and delightful group of professionals who not only prepared delicious food but we're so invested in the success of our event that their presence enhanced the evening for all. Together this made for a perfect event!”
