We called for same day reservations and were pleasantly surprised to be able to get our requested time, especially for a friday evening. The weather was beautiful, and we contemplated eating outside, but they didn't have lights on their outside deck. But that wasn't a problem, as it was getting chillier out. We ran into some friends as we walked inside and were able to add them to our reservation since they had a 4 top available. Our waitress came right over and took our drink order. We ordered the 32 oz Cowboy Steak to share with a side of broccoli, and the other couple ordered the sesame encrusted Ahi Tuna Steak and the prime rib sandwich with au jus dip and fries. Everything came out perfectly done. We expected that our steak would have been thicker, after seeing pictures of it from previous posts, but it filled the plate. There was also a lot of fat to cut around. We ended up taking half of our steak home, but the other couple finished theirs completely. Because we made reservations, we both received complimentary chocolate mousse, which was delightful! We paired it with a nutty Irishman cocktail. We also took the 2nd chocolate mousse to go.The food is Always good at Jack Kellys. Very flavorful. Their soups are also very good, although we did not order tonight. The atmosphere is very casual, as it's a golf country club.

The perfect place for a drink and food after a round of golf. Nothing to complain about. A straight forward menu with everything I've tried being really good.

We went there for a Valentine's dinner. The options were about $60/couple for soup, salad, entree and dessert. The place was OK for ambiance, and even though we had a table for 2 and cloth napkins, I wasn't expecting much. That was reinforced when I saw that the soup and salad was self-serve at a table. The soup choices were lobster bisque or chicken veg. I chose the bisque. It was good - like a tomato soup with light seafood flavor. I also chose the Caesar salad vs. just tossed. It was good with a nice dressing, grated cheese and good croutons. There were also other fixings to add, as well as bowls of warm bread. The choices were garlic, focaccia and Italian - all were prretty good.

We attended a Benefit Golf Tournament here recently which was simply amazing. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, the food was phenomenal (try the potato salad you will not be disappointed) and venue was beautiful. This is really a hidden gem in Rensselaer County.

They have a variety of steaks on the menu. My wife had one and it was cooked to perfection - Food came out fast and everything was hot and fresh. I had a burger it was hand packed - fresh cheese and hand cut fries. The staff is extremely kind and attentive. This is a hidden gem. I look forward to trying the golf simulators this winter. Full bar and they have Guinness on tap!

Went there tonight and WOW what great food and what great value. I just got a burger - nope not "just" a burger it was delicious and juicy but before that was a salad bar and two homemade soups that were so flavorful. My girlfriend got the haddock which was huge and also delicious and steamed broccoli was her side of choice and also a very generous portion. If you are in the area defiantly a go to place and if you are not take a ride it is a treat. Oh did I mention that people were friendly and the wait staff super nice and accommodating :)

What else can I say, this place is great. The value is exceptional with an entree, side, soup and salad bar for easily under $20. It's not a quiet romantic spot since it is the club house of an 18 while golf course but what you encounter are many different happy faces as groups of golfers come off the course and grab a bite or a drink from the bar. The menu is somewhat limited but there is enough variety for anyone's taste. The entire wait staff is friendly and multiple employees will assist if you need anything. There is outside seating, indoor golf simulators, free wifi and daily happy hour specials. Couple your visit with a localflavor.com "deal" and you'll easily see the value of great food and a friendly environment at a very affordable price point. Let's put I like this, my wife and I don't golf but we've eaten there 7 or 8 times in less than a year. It's our kind of place.
