I’ve been a few times and the class rocks! Chef Rob and Chef Andrew kill it every time! The vibe is always great and we enjoy ourselves. The food is spectacular, delicious, and they give get direction while cooking. Can’t wait to go back!

Just got back from a great class. Informative, fun and a great experience. The 2 instructors were engaged and answered all my questions! And most important the place was extremely clean. I appreciated the light snack before we got started and a bottle of wine for the guests.

Great experience.. booked a date night with the wife. Chef Rob was an excellent host.. very knowledgeable. I have prior professional experience in the kitchen but just wanted to do something with my wife. But def will be looking into the calendar to book more classes bring my family to experience different cuisines

My son and I had such an amazing experience today learning how to make Steak, homemade Mac and cheese , and berry crisp. The kitchen is absolutely immaculate, the staff is very friendly , and Chef Marilyn is absolutely amazing and made the class so much fun! We are already planning to come back . I couldn’t recommend this place more , definitely one of a kind and a core memory. Can’t wait to go back !

What a fun night! This was the Beef Bergeron class. This class was given to us as a Christmas gift. We enjoyed it very much. I can honestly say the class was better than Sur La Table. The long table in the back to sit and eat the courses made it extra special.

What an amazing night!
We celebrated my 50th birthday here with a cooking class. We had such a great time.
The staff made everything easy from booking the party through cleaning up at the end.
I had one guest with a gluten sensitivity and another with a separate health issue. Debbie and Chef Chris worked with me to craft a delicious menu that worked for everyone. Chef Chris, Debbie and Christine answered all my questions while being knowledgable, patient and pleasant.
The storefront and kitchen are beautiful. I’ve taken classes at other facilities and this is the nicest by far. The space is bright, pretty and immaculate.
Chef Chris made the class so much fun. He is a talented chef and has a great personality. He peppered his demonstration with interesting facts and helpful tricks. I love to cook and learned quite a lot. He had a great rapport with our group and kept it light while still teaching us.
One of the main reasons I picked The Mercantile was because they had a large table where we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves while we ate. After we cooked we all had a lovely meal together. Everyone had such a good time I had to gently remind people when the party was over so the staff could go home.
Finally, the food. I opted to add some additional starters and they were delicious. I’m glad I added them. We began my party at 6:30 pm. We had salad somewhere in the middle but didn’t sit down to dinner until around 8:45 pm so the extra starters helped. The salad was prepared for us and was absolutely delicious. Everyone raved about it. We enjoyed the meal we prepared (chicken piccata, roasted potatoes, broccoli rabe and zabaglione) and almost everyone took home leftovers because the portions were large.
We were 19 people. More than one person said to me that this was an amazing party. Some guests were trying to get a couples night together and another friend wants to have her party here.
I could not have asked for a better celebration.

A+ experience! The food was amazing and all the ingredients they use are fresh and delicious. Chef Chris and his team were very friendly and made the experience fun and enjoyable for everyone. The pasta sauces were all fantastic, the salad was the best I’ve ever had, and the cannoli for desert was a great way to top it all off. Would highly recommend to everyone to try this experience, and we will definitely be back again in the future!

What a great time! Chef Chris is knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. I am a complete beginner but kept up easily. There is another female chef. I did not catch her name but she let us try some apple pie on the house and it was amazing!

Such a fabulous night at Babylon Merchantile cooking class making Beef Wellington. A great group of people coming together. Chef Chris helped us each prepare our own pastry puff beef Wellington. It was absolutely delicious and so much fun to make. With his guidance, each step was surprisingly easy. Paired with a delicious hors d’oeuvre, salad, vegetables, and a superb flan for dessert -all of which the chef made for us, this was an evening to remember. I’m hooked and will definitely be back for another class soon! A perfect way to spend a Friday night!! Wow !!

Took a sushi making class here a few months back. It was a exciting and informative and Chef Chris was excellent at explaining not just how to prepare the food properly but why things were done and even where to purchase ingredients so you can make the meals on your own. It was definitely a highlight of the year!

I just had my 3rd experience at the Babylon Mercantile and it was amazing. My wife and I had taken the Lobster Roll class last year which was a blast and we went back for the Sushi making class last month. That class was so much fun I decided to take my staff to the Spanish Tapas class. Chris the chef and the staff are very attentive and helpful. The kitchen is clean and all the utensils and ingredients you need are supplied. The outdoor area where you eat and enjoy your meal and appetizers is beautiful and very relaxing. I really enjoy Chris' easy going style and his helpful cooking tips. I would 100% recommend the Babylon Mercantile to do something different, hands-on, and fun with friends or family.

First time attended Tues night homemade tortellini.. class instruction was great.. however a bunch of us were disappointed w the one wine bottle that was supposed to b for everyone… most of us were not able to hv any bc 3 other couples had helped themselves to full cups of wine.. leaving nothing fir the rest of us! We all paid for this n all should b entitled to the wine!! We asked the young girls in eating area for more but none was brought in for us at all.. it was disappointing bc we should’ve all been able to hv the white wine.!! Perhaps for 14 people there should’ve been 2 bottles?? The rest of us would’ve liked to hv had wine w our meal as well!!! Ty fir listening!

What a great experience this was, we did the date night with chef Chris and he was wonderful. The tips and tricks that they teach you Are very useful in everyday cooking which is nice. My husband and our friends husband Didn't know what to expect from the night and they had a wonderful time and already asking me to book another class. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone. The food quality was excellent.
