I just got off the phone with Dustin, the manager for the commercial side of this AutoZone location on Sunrise Highway in Baldwin and I’m extremely disappointed with how the situation was handled.
Dustin was dismissive, unprofessional, and made no genuine effort to assist me in locating a battery I purchased at this location — a battery that is still under warranty. Instead of trying to look it up in the system or offer any real help, he repeatedly stated there was “nothing he could do,” without even attempting to resolve the issue.
As a paying customer who knows the item was purchased at this location, I expected a minimum level of customer service and professionalism — especially from someone in a management role. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
I do not recommend this location based on this experience. Customer service should be about helping people, not shutting them down.

Bibi & Bri were so helpful and attentive assisting me in a very timely manner with everything! Their knowledge and hospitality is top tier. Definitely the best service I’ve ever received from this location ! Thanks a bunch!

The employees here don’t know the difference between a Torx bit and a triple square bit, which is basic knowledge. Employee stand around behind the counter and don’t help customers they just stand there until the line gets to be five people deep. Prices are about 50% high than Walmart for motor oil. This place is not even good for disposing of used motor oil, they always have an excuse as to why they can’t accept it.

The staff at this Auto Zone are simply amazing. We received excellent customer service. They are very knowledgeable and very patient. Bibi, Luigi and Jevon made our shopping experience seamless.

The website for Baldwin NY states that Liqui Moly oil is in stock. I called to confirm and the 2 people I called..the 1st didn't know what it was, I asked for the mgr..Mike and he stated they DO NOT SELL it all. Not sure if it's the location or the corporation that is at fault for the info on website.
