It's just the best food in town, the only negative thing I have to say is they aren't open late enough!

Always great food, gumbo, corn bread, jambalaya......everything tastes authentic and very fresh. This is the best go to spot for real Louisiana cooking in NY.

Great food and friendly staff. Service was good and price was affordable. I felt like I stepped into Louisiana as soon as I walk through the door.

Great pork sandwich. Great portion and the bread was soft. Got it to go and it wasn't sloppy when I got home. Will definitely be back.

Great taste of home for this New Orleans transplant. The crawfish etouffee and gumbo are delicious. The bread pudding is yummy too. There is a well stocked market adjacent to the ordering counter that has many basic groceries as well as prepared foods and regional specialties. Looking forward to trying more of their extensive menu.

Amazing menu - true to the Cajun heritage. Food was outstanding and a reasonable price. Has beer and wine. More of a take-out for place. There are tables and chairs but not a place you would hang. BUT be sure to check out the adjacent store stocked with essentials for New Orleans cooking. Great resource!

So I have been big fan of Louisiana Joe's since they opened and have never been disappointed with there food and still am not. But today I was very taken back when I tried to order take out. I ordered a simple roast beef melt with Swiss instead of mozzarella and here comes the big problem part. The sandwich comes with gravy on it. I asked for the gravy to be put on the side and I was told," sorry we are Too busy to put the gravy on the side, we can ONLY put it in the sandwich." I first thought it was a joke but it wasn't. I work at a high ends extremely busy deli for many years when I was young and I would NEVER in a million years tell a customer that I couldn't make any kind of change to a sandwich because we are too busy. In the end I cancelled the order because it was an hour wait but even more so was the too busy to put gravy on the side. You had a loyal customer for many years who has spent a lot of money over the years here but after today, I will never go back for that stupid comment. I am still stewing inside because of that.

Food was fantastic. We ordered poboys. The blackend chicken poboy was so good! The side was cajun fries we ordered was amazing as well. It does take awhile for your order, but that's not a bad thing at all. Everything is made fresh when you order, so quality is top notch. They request that you do not make/request any substitutions, and within good reason. They have curated their menu to perfection and want you to that the full experience. The shop is a small town shop, alot of the people going there are locals, and they know each other. Real hometown vibe! It was real homey feeling. Can't wait to visit more and try out the rest of their menu!
