All of these complaints I'm reading and really lack the context of the employee experience at USPS. Your package is not late because of laziness or the fact that it's a government run agency. These workers are treated poorly, underpaid, and overworked (mainly due to being understaffed due to extremely difficult conditions). For those of you complaining about a package way late. I suggest you try the informed delivery feature on USPS.com. this will show you where your package is, it never gets lost at the local post office, transit takes time. If they deliver to the wrong address, that's probably because If I turnover rates and frankly some streets in the city have confusing numbers attached to their locations compared to even across the street.
Many rural carriers often work well past their assigned time and are not paid for it. They are given an allotted amount of time to do their route. They have to stop at so many more spots to do to you volume of packages it makes this task very difficult To all those wondering about what 'over their time for the year' means, it actually is a thing. A rural carrier signs that they will make every effort to work under 2080 hours for the year, or 2240 including working OT days.
Rural management makes every effort to keep the carrier under 2080 including pressuring them to take days off. However, with the shortage of RCAs, rurals are getting vacation days denied, and are working more and more OT. Then management comes before the end of the guarantee period (ending October 7) and suddenly tries to force rural carriers to take some weeks off, after having denied them leave throughout the year, resulting in greivances. But now management is having a hard time doing even that with the lack of subs. Meeting that if you go over your hours which are allotted for the quarter, it's a lengthy process which they have to reconfigure your salary. Which is basically saying if someone works overtime today, they might not get paid for it for another 6 months. Also, if they happen to get injured on the job which is often because many packages need two people for delivery(Which it says on the package), well there's only one person. My good friend injured his back doing this very same thing in Middle Groove. He has been out of work for 18 months and the postal service hasn't paid him a dime. You would think they would, but they make you get a lawyer and fight it yourself. Thankfully he will likely go back to work in November but he still hasn't received any money at all in 18 months. If he didn't have savings or had a child he would be absolutely screwed. So let's try to show these people some respect for the difficult job that they do. If you're mad about the postal service, You should instead be mad at their budgetary constraints, which are set by the federal government. Or you can be mad at Amazon/Temu, or you can be mad at yourself for all the packages you order. Or you can just accept the fact that it's an extremely difficult job. I'm going to do that. ❤️🇺🇸👍😎

Consistently delivers mail to the wrong address. I didn’t think it was that hard to read numbers but this post office challenges that notion everyday. Typical government workers struggling to do the most menial task.

Ornery, snide, and unfriendly staff. Would expect nothing less from United States postal service.

Would give 0 stars but i can's . Mail is constantly delivered to the wrong mailbox. Packages are marked delivered and you get them 2 days later . They get paid enough they should be able to do their jobs correctly

Many reviews are not reflecting the locations' service itself. Staff are kind and will process quickly, it's usually pretty quiet and convenient there. For the many perturbed by mail woes, properly insure your packages.

Worst Post Office in all of time. Many of the employees at the counter are flat out rude. Once, I tried sending cash to my son who needed groceries... the employee at the counter watched me stuff the money in the box. How strange that the package was opened and the money was missing when it got to my son. Coincidence? I doubt that. I have sent him hundreds of packages, none of which were randomly opened.

The postal office worker at the front desk this afternoon was just rude. I had a small package that I took to the Halfmoon post office a couple weeks ago, they didn't put the correct address or even place postage on it, Twice.I came to the Ballston Spa location to send it out today. I asked him if it was possible to fix the label. He kept saying that I made the label myself at a kiosk and didn't pay for it. I never created the label myself; a worker at the Halfmoon location created it and charged it to my credit card. He (Ballston Spa) told me "I can't send this out for free like you're asking me to". I never asked him to send it for free, I asked him if it was possible to fix the label to re-send.The Ballston Spa worker kept man-splaining that my label was from a kiosk and a post office label looks different. (Mind you I didn't use a kiosk). He still didn't believe me that this location exists inside the farmstand by Walmart in Halfmoon.Be more kind to customers please.

Sunday delivery (packages only) driver refuses to get out of vehicle and tries to stuff large boxes in our mailbox. Often ruining the box.

Terrible...I live in a mobile home park and the mail person treats my mail like I was less than a human. This last time a friend of mine received my mail in her box. I just wonder how much other mail has been stuffed in other people's boxes.

Every time I have a package that's supposed to arrive on a Sunday, they almost immediately mark it as undeliverable without coming to the door.
