Burner Hardware store in Burnt Hills. This nook of a store is actually large. The isles (see pics) are full and the merchandise new. All the cabinets, floor, counters and shelves are kept primo clean. The prices are a bit higher than elsewhere but buying from a town shop, is always fun. A star removed for strange change of shift at like 2:50, afternoon. Review: 4

Went in for parts to fix my leaky faucet and Mike not only found what I needed (and correctly advised I didn't need everything I was trying to buy) but took a display apart for me to teach me how to perform the repair. You will never get this kind of attention at a big box store.

My husband and I basically built our house out of Burnt Hills hardware and Curtis lumber over close to 40 years. I’m in there almost every weekend for one thing or another. A few weeks ago I bought a large have a heart trap because my cat got out. I didn’t need to use it, it’s still in its original packaging, and they won’t let me return it. It was $70. I’m very disappointed. had I used it? It would be perfectly understandable. I will be reconsidering where I do my shopping going forward.

I don't understand the 2.5 star review. I've used this store for more than 30 years, and the staff has ALWAYS been helpful and friendly. They all help me find stuff, tell me how to fix stuff, and even recommend local folks to help with electrical or plumbing. Plus, they have WAY more stuff than the big box stores. I hardly ever fail to find what I need. I know most of their folks on a first name basis, and they know me. What more could I ask??

Normally great. Last visit they didn't have any gift certificates, had them locked up in the office. I get my step dad a gift certificate from here for every special occasion. Not this time. Lowes here I come.

I was up from NJ helping my sister on a DIY plumbing project and like all HI DIY projects, they morph. The service was excellent, they had everything I needed (four trips back and forth), they knew where everything was, and the prices were as expected. What I absolutely loved was the fact they had a separate plumbing counter with a plumbing expert who helped me in a situation I never really worked on. I knew what essentially had to be done but to have someone there to confirm my thinking and then pull all the things I needed off the shelf for me is something I just don’t experience in NJ. This level of service saved me four more trips back and forth. Thank you for making my trip up, and our project a rousing success.
