My husband shops here frequently. I had never been. Stopped in today to get steak. I was amazed at how many products the market offers as a whole. The staff working the meat deli were phenomenal. Very friendly. However, the ladies working at the front counter, were absolutely rude. Not to only us, but the customer in front of us as well. Not very customer oriented. Not something you would expect, especially when they are the first employees you see when walking in the door.

Bought meat from DeSantis Market that was washed with some solution to hide the slime or smell of spoiled meat. It was horrible, we avoiding that store. Really watch what you buy, look, feel and smell it before buying it is for your own good.

Stopped in with my elderly Dad last weekend. He went in and bought a pound of ham and rolls. When he walked out, I pointed to the sign that stated buy one pound of ham get one free, so he went back inside. The woman at the cash register was quite rude to him and told him no you cannot go back for the free pound of ham as you already checked out. So, he went and bought another pound and got the second one free. If I had gone in with him I would not have bought more. We shop here frequently, but no more. Thank you.

First time going to this Barneveld staple. Large selection of quality meats and seafood at prices I find hard to believe. Not overly thrilled with the woman behind the meat counter who wasn't very "customer oriented". Overall, a great store with more than just meat. Will be visiting again.
