We were in 9/26 before close. We opened a credit card online and BofA had placed a block on the card. We were trying to pay the fuel company to buy fuel to heat our home for the winter so it is a big deal that the card worked. When we called customer service they explained we had to visit a branch to show ID and prove we opened it. Incredibly inconvenient as the nearest branch is almost an hour away from us. There was nothing we could do but abide so we drove to the Batavia branch, with a half hour before the branch closed. My husband went in and a brunette in the middle of the teller line waited on him. She said she fixed what the problem was, but COMPLETELY FAILED in knowing that SHE was supposed to call and verify that we were in and to take the block off. She told us we had to do it. We were left with calling customer service as the branch closed to get help. There was a 40 minute wait for customer service. So as they turned the lights off and disappeared, we were forced to leave without being assisted. We ended up getting lucky and got a gentleman in customer service WHO ACTUALLY HELPED US. He explained that it sounds like the teller wanted to go home and that is NOT how they are supposed to treat us. He looked up our account and said because it showed we were at the branch, that he would provide an exception and take the block off so we could use the card. So again, either this teller is poorly trained and that is something the branch needs to work on or this teller just wanted to go home. If we weren't getting $200 to open this card I would never do business with BofA after this experience.

Absolutely love Mrs Maryann and everyone one there! Best service I've had from a bank. They treat me like family and well worth the wait. Recommend them to everyone.

The older woman behind the counter was rude. Treated me like some sort of scumbag for trying to cash a check from my friend, very upset as everyone else I have dealt with was awesome

Unfortunately I would not recommend this bank to anyone. Although the staff is friendly in all the locations I have been to, and all the branches I have called, it does not make up for all the fees they charge.

I love Bank of America. The best service I have ever had especially this Batavia branch. They go out of their way to meet your needs on all levels. Everyone is courteous and happy which says something about the office. I have been working with Nancy Doughtery and Mary Sweet for over 10 years. Always a positive Experience.
