I have only attended two times due to learning though my insurance carrier that I can visit two YMCAs. I usually attend the Lockport YMCA. I honestly love them both and feel blessed of having the opption of two YMCSs

The facility itself is beautiful, but it is poorly ran and very chaotic, borderline dangerous for children. The adventure room is such a great feature for young kids, but parents take full advantage of it and use it as a drop off daycare for their older teens. The staff at the YMCA does not monitor the room like they should and basically leaves it up to the parents to watch their kids that are dropped off. My daughter was knocked down the slide by a girl that was much too old to be in there, and when I told the front desk staff, the gentleman wandered around the adventure room and did not address any of my concerns. I canceled my membership that day and they continued to charge me their membership fee for the next, even though I did not return there the following month and I stated I would not be paying That fee Because my daughter was injured, and this was not the first time we had a close call in the adventure room. When she threw up after hitting her head on the floor after being knocked out of the slide, a staff member came up to me and asked if she was the one that vomited at the top of the adventure room, a totally unrelated incident that didn’t even involve my kids, instead of asking if my daughter was OK. My daughter was crying so hard that a random YMCA member asked me if she was okay and even checked up on her once more before leaving the YMCA that night because he was so concerned. The next day she was still lethargic and vomiting so we took her to her pediatrician that confirmed, due to the signs and symptoms, that she most likely did have a concussion. I called and I spoke with staff about paying the $89 for the month that I did not go to the YMCA and before I was even able to address my concerns, they charged me $89 and pretended they did not know how that happened. The staff seems like nice people and I know it is not their job to babysit other adults children, but if you’re looking for a safe place for your toddlers to play, the Batavia YMCA is not it.

The new facility here is beautiful, spacious, clean and bright. All the equipment is new, and the e-gym and walking/running track are a bonus. They have expanded their class offerings as well. The new pool is fantastic, although the splash pad is geared more for a younger age group.
There are a few building issues that keep popping up that need addressing, but they are trying to iron them out.
The BIG downside is the parking. With shared lots with both the Jerome Senior apts., and the RRH medical offices it is difficult to find close parking, especially for those who are handicapped ♿️ or with limited mobility. Eventually this will get ironed out once the construction 🚧 is completed and the old building is removed.

This place is great! Everyone I've spoken to, whether it's at the front desk, the pool, the gym, or the adventure zone, has great customer service!
I'll add that Charles and Emma are very thorough lifeguards!

It's nice. I just hope they don't let people ruin it. This is a public place, not your living room.

I really don't like the new building and I'm not happy my Dr office is in this building. Elevator didn't work so I took the stairs. Over thought the operations and I don't like how you don't interact with people in this building. Everything is done on a kiosk.

We just joined this brand new YMCA and the facilities are amazing. I particularly like the indoor track where I spend a lot of my time walking around it. The pool is really nice and my wife likes it there with lanes and separate resting areas. Plenty of exercise equipment and bikes and treadmills.

The new YMCA is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Parking can be a bit challenging when dropping off/ picking up from the childhood program.

I want to take a moment to recognize Melinda for her outstanding customer service today.
It’s rare for me to write reviews, but the experience my girlfriend and I had was exceptional and absolutely worth sharing.
The YMCA building itself is impressive, but it's the staff like Melinda, who truly make the difference. Her kindness, patience, and willingness to go above and beyond didn’t go unnoticed. She made our visit smoother and more enjoyable, and we left feeling genuinely valued.
A huge thank you to Melinda for setting the bar high for customer service!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the new YMCA, and I have to say, it exceeded all my expectations! The facility is absolutely stunning—modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. The layout is user-friendly, with plenty of natural light and a welcoming atmosphere. I was particularly impressed with the variety of amenities offered, from the state-of-the-art fitness center to the beautiful swimming pool. I live in Warsaw and was a member at the Wyoming County YMCA. If we had this new facility in my town it would definitely justify the high membership fees.
