I generally, recommend HFT to people, for the most part, they sell decent products if you need something better, you generally know it, and would go elsewhere. However, there is something that HFT corporate does, and I experienced it at this store, so this store will be “catching the stray”
I bought a 2gal silent air compressor, the first one died within the 90 day return window, exchanged it, and that exchange also died within the return window. I know it wasn’t user error, I have had air compressors for decades, I know how they work, I also used to sell them.
My SO, bought me a better one from another brand, and I was forced to eat the restocking fee when I returned the HFT compressor, because it was opened. The store manager would not budge on the restocking fee.
The store manager was shocked at the idea that I presented to them, that had I accepted the exchange, and returned it a few days later unopened, there would be no restock fee, thus rewarding bad behavior but because I was trying to be honest, I was being punished for it. They simply said “Thanks for letting me that a possibility, I didn’t think that was possible” (yea okay, don’t you think a corporation would have thought of that? doesn’t take a genius to figure that out)
I called corporate several times about trying to get my restocking fee back, they would not budge in the least bit. Based on their return policy their stance would be (confirmed by them when I spoke to them). If you bought an air compressor, and used it, with every intention of keeping it, and within its first use the product bursted into flames because of a factory defect, the only recourse you would have would be exchange it for another or eat the restocking fee if you didn't want the product at all (understandable as it did just burst into flames, why would you trust it?). You could also buy one, use it - exchange it for a new one, and a few days later, return that one to avoid the restocking fee - this was confirmed by HFT no less than 5x on the phone when I spoke to them, apparently, they have no problem with that, but will not under no circumstances refund the restock fee if the product is open, even for a perfectly legitimate reason.
Their stance is they must back the stores, while admirable, when your stores are wrong, even when presented clear evidence, they will not do anything for you, no policy exceptions. They were not exactly happy when I told them, that even unliving someone is legal in certain circumstances, that their return policy is less forgiving than that – Facts are facts though

Nothing negative about the employees, just that there are far too few of them to do anything besides man the registers. The in-store inventory often does not match what is claimed on the website for this location, ends up wasting time. Not sure if that is the fault of this location's management or the company itself messing up

Very fair prices for the "Quality of tools" not for professional Mechanics must of them but good enough for home repair and many other stuff available
