Very expensive and the office I visited was severely understaffed. The return itself was done well and the associate pleasant, but they don’t disclose the fees or have much of a discussion until the return is completed. Everything was rushed in the office since there was only ever one associate. I will go back to doing my own return next year and save a ton of $$. Not recommended.
ADDENDUM 5/29/25- Deducting one more star. in addition to the above feedback, I was informed by the IRS this week that the preparer miscalculated one of the tax items and I actually OVERPAID. For this kind of $ I recommend you go elsewhere or do you taxes by yourself. Absolutely unacceptable.

The lady who did m taxes was very efficient an also very kind. She did a great job. I cane into her office in tears and left with a smile! I recommend this office.

Disappointed! It cost me more for filling ($250), way more than my original tax preparer would have charged me. Just because I was lazy to drive to Freeport.
The office was very clean and also the rep doing the paperwork was very courteous. Appears to have some knowledge of the task she was assigned to do.
Considering that I’m not receiving any returns, I do believe I was overcharged.

I always get my taxes done like a royalty with ease and peace. I know I am always in good hand whenever I get my taxes done with utmost humbled, down to earth, most respectful, kindest, most professional, highly courteous manner.I would not have found any better place and person to have done my taxes none other than Mrs. Shehla. They are indeed a special gem in todays world.I have always had happy, worry-fee, hassle-free tax experience. I would never doubt their special expertise, and professional knowledge, which always makes me come back to them every year, and will always do.I have never regretted going to them for my taxes.And, I wish them all the best in their future endeavors professionally, and personally.

Shehla was very, very, helpful and very kind. Every Year when my husband and I go to this office to do our taxes, Shehla is always very patient, courteous and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this Jackson Hewitt location to everyone. Shehla always goes out of her way to help my husband and I, when we do our taxes there.

This location is BY FAR!!! THEE BEST location i have been to! and ive use JH for over 10 years ! Mohammad and his co worker were thorough, informative, and not only were they able to get me the MAX refund! i was also approved for an advance when i didnt think i would be given my circumstances! Thank you so much for your kindness ☺️ If youre looking to have your taxes prepared, dont walk, but RUN to this location on howells road, bayshore (in the shopping center that has the deli, pizzeria, beauty supply etc. its diagonal from 5th avenue elementary school in bayshore nu!) Thank you again!

This year with being so busy I didn’t send my info in until just days before the deadline. I’m no longer in NY but I trust and have built a relationship with this office. I left a message on Friday night and received a call Saturday morning. I emailed all the required documents and information and by Saturday night I received a call that they were done. You cannot ask for better customer service! Simply thank you for professionalism and caring.
