We've been customers for a few years and it's been a pleasant experience. When we had a problem with one of the tanks, StarLite replaced it right away at no cost and credited us for the refill. I would recommend StarLite to potential new customers.

Been using this company for over 30 years Always received a bill within 10 days after a delivery, this doesn't happen anymore.They offer a senior discount but you have to remind them of it, you ask for a bill and then give you a "statement" that's not correct Phone personal are not customer friendly In the past, they're truck backed over my plantsand even though it's on cameras, they denied it.I would not recommend this company

In January, the nasty, fake, condescending Nicole begged my not to leave the company. I reluctantly gave them another chance after years of dissatisfied, unreliable service. This week we had a leak and they would not come. The owner was more concerned about getting a story - not the leak, yelled at me, then hung up on me. Ha! You can see by all their bad reviews why this company is going under. Good news! I called several other companies who where kind and professional. We are so happy to now be using PECONIC PROPANE! If you are looking for a no-nonsense, professional and reliable company, give them a call!

Just moved into the neighborhood. Previous owners used this company, thought we should continue with it. This is the WORST COMPANY!!!! The customer service is horrible. They are liars!! They will say anything. They came out one time and didn't fill up the tank, just to last for the weekend and they were going to send someone the following Monday to fill it. Why not fill it it up in one shot.. They never came on Monday. A week goes by no call. We contact them again and they said, the guy went on vacation. Why couldn't you tell us that. Very inconvenient. Needless to say their customer service stucks!! We called them again, asking when someone was coming out. At this point, we can't cook and there's no hot water. The ladies there were so rude and very quick to lie on you, they just kept giving us the run around. We will be switching and will possibly report them.

I recently had an unpleasant experience speaking with Carolina at StarLite Propane's office, and I have to say, she was unhelpful and unprofessional. From the moment I started talking to her, I could tell that she was disinterested in finding a solution to my issue, besides her accusing me of yelling at her because of her careless attitude, she was raising her voice and yelling at me and she did the bare minimum to get me off the line.Due to their technical issues, they couldn’t process my credit card payment, and she blamed me for being declined several times. She refused to take my payment over the phone and forced me to order checks so I can make my payment by mail.Carolina cared less about our 18 years of relationship with StarLite Propane and didn't seem to care about my questions or concerns. She was impatient and vague in her explanations, and I felt like I was bothering her.I was disappointed with Carolina's negative attitude and lack of willingness to help me.Overall, I would not recommend speaking to Carolina at StarLite Propane's call center to anyone needing assistance. Her lack of dedication to customer service and unfriendly demeanor make her a liability to the team. I hope that StarLite Propane can address these issues and improve its customer service in the future.Thanks to the district manager for taking care of the problem.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!! I'm not sure what happened to this company but the customer service is HORRIBLE !! Whom ever that Female who answer the phone is very unprofessional and RUDE. I don't need to be insulted and give you my money. I'll be spending my money elsewhere.

We have been customers of Starlight Gas for many years and have never had issues with the company. This past July we ordered our tanks to be filled. 2 ½ weeks after the fill my husband went to turn on the pool heater and it wouldn’t start. Went to check the tanks, smelled gas and the tanks were reading at 55%. Called the company, Saturday, and spoke to the emergency service. Told us to shut off tanks and that “they would let the office know and someone would contact us Monday.” By Wednesday we didn’t hear from them so called again. The first thing out of the woman’s mouth, before I could finish a sentence, was that they don’t service heaters. Politely as possible I said “my tanks are leaking gas.” After a bit of back and forth, she scheduled a service call for the same day. In fact, we lost 45% of the gas that was put in. Service agent said to call the office for a credit. I called the office 4 times, first time, we’ll credit your card. Second & third time “we’ll look into the credit”. In the meantime, we had to schedule for another gas delivery. Called them again today 8/29 about the credit and to get it applied to the current balance and was told that they have no way of proving that the gas leaked out and we didn’t just use it. Same girl told me she told me that already. In no way did that ever come up in any if the 3 previous telephone conversations. We didn’t need to use the gas, as it was those 2 weeks we had that brutal heat wave. This is not how loyal customers should be treated.

Stay away from this company!. Get your propane from anywhere but here. Been a customer since 1993 and customer service has gone downhill. Will be changing companies as soon as possible.

Delivery never showed up on agreed among date and got billed for gas I never received. Nicole is the office was rude and hung up on me when I explained to her what happend. They picked up the within an hour and proceeded to bill me yet again for a service I never received. I will never ever use them again and I'm not sure why there rating isn't lower then TWO stars!

After having to switch to a different company, I called them up to pick up their empty tank. They gave me a date for when they would come pick it up - never came. When I called about it, the girl I spoke with said "oh we have no specific date of when we come to pick up the tank, just whenever our drivers are in your area". So I'm in the middle of telling her "if this tank isn't picked by Friday I'll donate it to the local scrape metal collector" she cut me off however to declare that by some amazing coincidence she just got word they will be picking up the tank that day. Two hours later, a man who must have been 85 years old comes to collect the tank, they didn't provide the poor old man with a hand truck. He literally rolled this 100 pound tank out of my yard, down my long driveway to his truck. A day later Starlite tries to bill me $63 for "tank pickup service". And when I call, I end up arguing with the poor girl who didn't understand why I refuse to pay the bill and either wouldn't transfer me to a manager or they just refused to take my call. From what I understand most the people in my neighborhood stopped using them as far back as 2017 because of very similar reasons. Been with this company for approximately 20 years. I am obviously a longtime customer, and I have never had an issue. This is my first emergency I have ever had in those 20 years of being a customer. I called today (Saturday) and it's closed, the automated message said if it's an emergency to call another number. I called and spoke to the lady and told her I am having a propane leak from behind my stove. She said she would call a technician and he would call me back. Almost an hour went by and he never called, I called back again and she said she had left him a message but would call him again. A technician who was on call finally called me, his name is Rich Kennedy , and he was not very nice! He immediately started being loud with me saying there's nothing that can be done anyway and I need to turn off the valve. I explained to him I'm a woman at home with children and I didn't know! He said "well if I have to come, I'm two hours away and then I'll have to stop at the shop first and I can't do anything anyway Im just going to turn it off". He made me feel very d*** and he was very unprofessional. That is his job, he is on call. It is not my problem if he is 2 hours away, sorry but not everyone in the world knows the ins and outs of propane tanks and all of that! I called him back and told him not to come and I would have a neighbor turn it off instead, I did not want HIM here. He hung up on me. 5 minutes later, they redeemed themselves because my phone rang and it was another technician who was very nice and professional. The technician just left, he was in the area and came to help me, he wasn't even on call and he was with his son. He turned the valve off and was very friendly!!! I was originally going to give one star but I will bump it to 4. Rich Kennedy needs to find a different job if he doesn't like his on call job.

Been using them for years. The just did a great job replacing my two ground tanks with one large one. Highly recommend. Price always fair to the market rate.

So, starlite just charge me 60 bucks rental for a 100 lb tank,,,, they said the price was base on how much propane is used, ie: the less propane that is used the higher the cost to lease the tank, which is only described in the agreement as "other fees may apply"...wow and when I called them for clarification they ask if everything was OK with me.. so for future reference, the starlite propane company just charged me for equipment rental fee based on usage annually even though we have only been a customer for 8 months.......
