What a place!!!!! The ice cream is amazing. The options and the ambiance. We got stuck in there in a storm and the staff was so pleasant. They even called the ferry for us to make sure they were running on time!!! Above and beyond with great ice cream options!!!!! This place is a must stop!!!

Terrible ice cream from a bucket with artificial flavoring and colors. $7 for 1 scoop in a cup. Manager poor behavior towards “specific” customers. Save yourself the trip and buy a virgin Frozen drink for $2 more or a cold beer for an extra $1 nearby. Won’t be surprised if the place closes down. Tourist trap with few other options.

I love this place. The young woman who worked there was so sweet and wonderful and the ambiance is so zen. I had the caramel peanut butter ice cream and it was freaking amazing. I come here every year and love that they added cute merchandise like tshirts and hoodies this year!!

Linda is an amazing hostess, ice cream was delicious; The company was even better. It's good to so feel welcome in the gayest town outside NYC. Highly recommended

There is a peanut butter ice cream here that I have dreams about nonstop. Probably one of my favorite ice cream flavors of all time. My only gripe is that the portions for the scoops and prices could be bigger, but I also think it’s because you can’t have enough of that ice cream! Definitely stop by for a sweet treat :)

Nice little place right in the heart of Cherry Grove.

Cute little ice cream shop just off the pier at Cherry Grove. The owner was preoccupied, but helped me out with a couple of scoops. I'm not certain who makes the ice cream, but I wasn't totally satisfied with the flavor--the mint chocolate chip was bland, and the mango sorbet was bland and icy. There isn't a public restroom in the area, but the owner directed me next door. I appreciated that the shop was open late afternoon in the middle of the week, with Fire Island relatively quiet. It was refreshing, though a bit underwhelming in flavor.

So I read the reviews and I went on a walk and stopped with my dog anyways. It was a very beautiful quiet night and my mother was with my dog and I also. Not too many people but enough for a couple convos I didn't notice much when I first went in. I was greeted by a very nice young lady who was great to conversate with :) I picked an ice cream for all 3 of us and she told me she loves Australian shepherds as that's what my pup is :) so then I brought the ice cream outside we ate on a bench and then began hearing cursing every other word is the F word and loud this was coming from the owner!! Then a woman and husband walk in with their kids looking nervous I assumed it was my pup and felt bad but when the family walked out the mom hugged her girls close and looked back at the lady with a mouth like a trucker!! I a bunch of people walked by and pet my pup and were so kind so then I was like ahhhh so refreshing!! Then it was time to go and apparently I got in the way of the owner while I was trying to leave I thought she was walking inside so I was trying to go around her and she just stopped in the way and started at me and my dog so I said I'm sorry I thought you were going inside she looked at me with attitude and said no I'm going to help her as if I was supposed to know and I had to push over to the side with my dog so she could waddle on by! This woman to add appears to be a very heavy drinker!! Too bad because the ice cream really is good and really neat flavors to choose from!! The price wasn't high to me but I also live in CT and everything is priced high there lol

normally don’t do this. But I ordered ice cream and most definitely pulled a long hair right out. I walked in to shop the two behind the counter denied it and said it was caramel. Caramel melts this was like pulling out floss. They ended up giving me my money back, but they treated me like I was crazy. Total disregard.

I pity anyone who has to deal with the vile woman that owns Sweet Licks. I'm surprised no one hasn't given her a good old public school a** kicking. She should not own a business in a happy place as she's miserable, and needs medication.

The service was fair. However the woman who owns or manages sweet licks was one of the rudest and unprofessional people I have ever met. I would not go back here and it is a complete disadvantage Cherry Grove that is the only place. $7 for two scoops of Hershey ice cream is ridiculous.

I have always adored Sweet Licks as it gives a place to go in the Grove that does not involve alcohol but today I have to thank Linda for mailing my husband's license back to him after he lost it out there. You can't pay for that kind of community or love but you can tip a little extra! God Bless you Linda and we'll see you in a week!

Very yummy selection from great employees/owners. Lots of signs promoting the prosciutto bread so I’ll definitely try it next time. They were open pretty late even on a weekday.

Owner had nasty attitude toward customers. Felt bad for the young girl behind working.
