Went there today because of a Best Burgers review in HV magazine. I loved the place as soon as I walked in. Colorful, retro-cool atmosphere with a slab of beef laying on the butcher table.I tried the sample sausages they had up on the display case and from there, knew it was going to be good.My wife ordered Tacos and I ordered the $12 Barb's Burger with house made chips. The burger was one of the best I have had and the house made chips were thin, crispy, and excellent. As was said by others, the staff was friendly and helpful, not in a hurry to run from my questions. This will be another go to place for me when I'm cruisin through Beacon.

I have loved this place for years. My most recent purchase was a pre-made sandwich that i grabbed to go: even though I have loved pretty much everything I've ever gotten at Barb's, I was surprised how great this cold sandwich was.

Picked up some pork back fat for homemade soppresata and 4 ribeyes- cut and trimmed while I waited- simply cooked on the grill medium rare then a dab of butter while they rested- amongst the best steaks I ever had-including top steak houses, pat lafreida etc I’ll be back

I ate lunch there four days in a row when visiting the area. It would have been five days in a row, but they are closed on Tuesdays. Just incredible food. Highly recommend it all — had tacos, brisket, and bacon, egg, and cheese. All were some of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Not what it used to be.. purchased the August special. The special consist of two top round steaks, about a pound of shredded precooked beef, four sausages, two packs of chicken quarters and four premade burgers two bone in pork chops. for $100. The 2 stakes I got were a joke. One of the stakes was just over 5 oz and the other steak they gave me was tiny at just over 3 oz. Better off going to marble meat shop in coldspring or hemlock farms in Cortland. Way more bang for your buck at those other places. For roughly the same price.

Bought two filets for dinner and my goodness will be back. The quality was unmatched and better than any filet I have had at many a Michelin star restaurant. I am no chef but it was impossible to mess up with a simple salt and pepper sear finished in the oven. Keep up the good work. You found two more regulars.

Best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. Got the brisket and subbed the bread for the cheddar and chive biscuit. Not only was the brisket just melt in your mouth and packed with flavor, but the biscuit was on point: flaky, chewy with buttery crust. Definitely coming back.Boyfriend got the birria beef sandwich. The birria sauce was super umami with nice tang, well balanced flavors, so did not feel heavy. It was so good I drank it like a shot and then bought more for home.

This afternoon Barb's Butchery gave me what I've been missing about a neighborhood butcher and NYC quality foodie satisfaction, in one delicious swoop. First, it is the cleanest looking and smelling butcher shop that you might ever find. There are a few tables and chairs out front of the counter in the shop and the sweet ambiance of the place compelled us to get the food to stay. I said to the friendly bearded fellow at the counter, "ribeye jerky; A bit of a flex, no?" He smiled and handed me a taste and wow; it was as tender as jerky can be while still being jerky. Positively delicious. My sandwich was a perfect burger with a tender draping of brisket deliciousness that all hugged a piece of the yummiest bacon I may have ever had in my life. Bravo to Barb and her crew and the culinary experience that you'll enjoy. Every bite was a taste of a memory of my youth and a testament to unbridled carnivorous lust. Highly, highly recommended.

So here we go.The sandwiches we got (2) were amazing. They were $14 a piece and so worth it. Very fresh and tasty. Can definitely tell the quality was there. We also got two sodas. We ordered 1/2 lb ground beef, 1/2 lb ground pork $7 each. The ground beef was not properly bagged, it was placed in a French fry cardboard thing and wrapped in brown paper. I didnt open the brown paper until three days later to find it was hard. I opened the pork and it was wrapped the same. It was sour and smelled like fish.We got 1.2lbs of chicken cut there which was interesting. This was wrapped appropriately and was fine and tasted good. This was $23.We also got four slices of jerky and that was very good. Unfortunately we didn't notice the price of the jerky. Our total was $116... obviously we were mis charged unless the jerky was $50 and it was our fault for not finding these discrepancies until four days later. However, we threw away the ground beef and pork.. so this was very upsetting that we wasted a substantial amount of money.. i also strongly believe that 1.2lbs of chicken for $23 is extremely high. I used to live in PA and would get fresh cut chicken breast at a butcher and never spent nearly that much. You also shouldn't expect to eat there, seating is limited.I dont think it was worth the price and I'm warning people to cook what you get that day.

Everything about Barb's is just exceptionally awesome. They're an excellent butchery that also offers prepared breakfasts and lunches. Plus, the entire staff is hyper-cool. There is no competition.
