This past summer was my daughter's first year at Camp Ma-He Tu and will not be her last. This was also the first time my daughter was away from home for an extended period. The camp made it so easy for my daughter to adjust and feel safe.

Was a counselor there in the 90's and still remember the confidence, independence, love, patience and steadfastness that was embraced there. Wish one's daughter can be a counselor there too and looking forward to Women In the Woods. This is exciting.

Both of my girls went this was their first year they both loved it they didn't stop talking for 4 hours after I pick them up. My oldest is a picky eater and she raved about the food. They love the activities and their counselors made friends with their cabin and girls in their other cabins.

From Camp Ma-He-Tu
Camp Ma-He-Tu is a sleep-away camp for girls ages 7-15. Established in 1937, we are located along the shores of Lake Kanawauke in Harriman State Park, Bear Mountain, just 40 miles north of New York City.
At Ma-He-Tu, all of our campers from youngest to oldest find a place where they can be themselves - a place where they belong. Campers safely enjoy exciting adventures, learn new skills, and make life-long friends in a supportive and nurturing environment.
