UPDATE: Matthew (the owner) SUED ME for this review & now HIS LAWYER is ghosting mine. Car was never fixed and still has many of the issues I spoke of here. Just as I said 1 year ago - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Do not bring your car to Ethos. My experience with this repair shop was a nightmare. After a car accident in July '22, I brought my grandmother's car to Ethos for repairs because they claimed they could restore it to 'pre-accident conditions or better.' Unfortunately, it's worse now.
Initially, things seemed fine. Sebastian, who's no longer with them, assured me that everything would be taken care of. Contracts and estimates were quickly sent, and I thought I had nothing to worry about.
However, in August, issues started to surface. The estimate was incomplete, missing important parts like the exhaust, which was visibly damaged. By November, I found myself constantly discussing parts, timelines, and placing blame on the then-manager, Darren, who is also no longer there.
In December, they notified me that the car was almost done, with only the parking sensors missing. I picked up the car, but immediately noticed problems. Alignment issues were visible in the documents left in the car. The car was making a loud clunking noise, and I felt unsafe driving it.
I took it to another mechanic who found significant issues, including a snapped tie-rod and problems with the control arms, which they claimed were too costly to repair. I ended up with a $2,000 bill for these repairs. I still have ongoing drivetrain issues.
I repeatedly tried to contact Ethos about these problems, but my calls and messages went unanswered. I later discovered that they had fitted the wrong bumper, making the parking sensors irrelevant. The paintwork was subpar, with imperfections and a color mismatch compared to the rest of the car. The car had developed new rattles and loose trim pieces.
I spoke to the owner, Matthew Beobide, who not only called me a liar but also spoke condescendingly about his 20 years in the industry. He denied the issues with the bumper and claimed they had conducted an alignment. The car had significant drivetrain problems that they refused to acknowledge.
We agreed to fix the issues in April, but I have not heard from them since. Their excuse of a parts shortage was debunked when I discovered the car's certification allowed for part purchase. I had to find parts on my own, which they were not authorized to purchase.
UPDATE: After reading my review, Matthew decided to contact me through two different phone numbers, one of which didn’t seem to belong to him. Weird. I opted to text rather than talk over the phone due to how that went last time. Rather than admit fault, I’m now told it is “out of his hands” and that my statements on the lack of suspension work are defamatory - despite the lengthy record of receipts and invoices I have. I’ve requested invoices - and have again been ghosted. No apologies or admitting any wrongdoing - just more fighting and telling me I’m wrong. Avoid at all costs.

I have used Ethos on several occasions for body work on my Suburban and Audi wagon. In every case Ethos handled my repairs professionally every step of the way from filing the claim to the finishing touches of detailing.

Ashton and the team at Ethos are exceptionally professional, proficient, and downright helpful. Ashton articulated the repair plan in a straightforward manner, giving us options and reasonable pricing. Our positive experience didn’t end there either - Ashton and team kept us up to date throughout the repair, going way above and beyond to help us with pick up logistics.
