They did an amazing job on an antique mahogany bookcase I considered replacing due to its poor condition. The structural integrity has been restored and the refinishing looks stunning. I highly recommend this place.

The guy at the desk is very warm and friendly and likable, and seem to be trustworthy, but was not. The chair was repaired in that the seat was replaced with the canning that was manufactured caning, but it wasn't by him and he claimed all work was done at his facility and people at outsource to his facility but instead he had someone outside doing it in the end. The person damaged my chair three of the decorative pieces that were on the chair were off the chair after the work was done, and it was very sloppy. The chair was made dirty with fingerprints on it that were not there before the person who worked on it did not wear gloves And they did not do what I made sure he would do. I made it clear twice to make sure they put the felt tips on the bottom of the 4 feet of the chair and they were not there. The man who gave me the chair back had not inspected the ticket against what was supposed to be done. It was on the ticket he said, and I knew it was cause I was cleared to make him do that and he never checked the work that was done. He didn't check that the jewels were still there. They were all there they like they look like Jules but they're actually Pieces of clear glass like adornments and they can't be replaced necessary. This chair was decorated years ago and I was restoring it by having the seat replaced. Everything else was in perfect shape, but there was a little wobble to the chair and he did not glue it like I asked, and there was a spot where he could've done it. He said there wasn't and he gave me a song and dance excuse. I found it to be inferior workmanship because of the damage done to my chair And I'm not completing the job and not being inspected by the person who took the order and gave me the chair. He falsely claimed maybe the pieces fell out of my car they are not in my car. They were there securely originally. It's sloppy work I do not recommend this repair shop. The only thing that was done properly was the caning which he said would cause some paint damage and I'd have to repair that that I know and that's not a problem. It's the rest of it the damage to the chair as a result, and the lack of the feet felt pieces that he says have to be drilled in they were not done.

I have had a few items restored at this place that were in terrible shape, never expected it to come out as perfect as it did. It takes a long time, but I believe that's because you cannot rush perfection. If you want it done correctly, bring it here, you will not be disappointed.

I brought my family heirloom dining chairs to the Furniture Doctor. They needed a lot of TLC and needed to be refinished. Mike told me when to expect pick up, how long they would need to be in the shop and when to expect return to my home. He was right on the money with all time frames. The chairs are now sturdy and the color is absolutely beautiful. Mike was a pleasure to deal with and so kind. John was very nice when picking up and dropping off. I would highly recommend using the Furniture Doctor for all your furniture!

My 1890's antique English Victorian library desk needed the top sanded, as someone had laid wet cardboard on it, and the legs needed repair. I was very clear about the finish on the rest of the table not being touched and the top was to remain the same color. Much to my horror, when I went in to check on it, the entire table had been sanded down to bare wood. Somebody confused me with another customer and had written on my order to sand it down so that the legs could be painted. I was horrified and crying. They sanded off 130 years of finish and patina. Despite my having pictures of the original table where the top was 2 tone mahogany, and the base another color, it is now all a horrible reddish color and looks nothing like my original table. I am heartbroken.

Furniture Doctor re-caned six antique chairs I had. The job was just beautiful! He was fast, just a couple of weeks and his prices are reasonable. I definitely would use him again.

Furniture Dr did amazing things to a dresser that went from a family basement to my garage and almost to the dump. Who knew that beautiful wood was under that paint. Michael of Furniture Doctor may have. Nice polite courteous service. Michael explained the process and how long everything would take and he was right on the money. The only surprise was what was hiding under that paint. Excellent job. Couldn’t be happier with the experience or the final product. Thank you Doctor. I highly recommend.
