As a jazz vocalist I look forward to singing with Robert at the piano. He brings out the best qualities in my performance. Robert is not only encouraging but he is inspiring. A wonderful teacher, accompanist. He is truly a musician's musician!

My daughter has been coming here for over 7 years. What captivated us is his talent and teaching style. He teaches much more than just playing from a music sheet. He teaches the art of music, improv and how to find your own style.

About Grand Piano Studio
Robert Lepley, the owner of the Grand Piano Studio, has been a professional jazz pianist, studio musician, and jazz piano educator for over 50 years. He has performed in concert with such jazz greats as Joe Lovano, Sonny Fortune, Eddy Gomez, and others. His most recent jazz recording is “MacDougal St. NYC” - a two-CD recording with 33 New York based musicians (https://www.robertlepleymusic.com/recording) Mr. Lepley is widely known to be an excellent and effective teacher of jazz improvisation, and works with beginners to advanced students. His studio is is located in Bellmore, NY - 45 minutes from NYC, and sees students in his studio and also remotely. His fees are reasonable and uses a sliding scale for lower income students.
