“I took my first class very early one morning, so it was just me and one other person. This made the class feel very personal, and the instructor was able to train us on a better level. It was a 30 minute class that consisted of using the climber machine half the time and then doing light weight lifting the other half. I wasn't crazy about the machine because it was a bit too intense for me, but I enjoyed the other half of the class. The instructor was awesome and kept pushing us beyond what we thought we could handle. I don't think this is the type of studio I would buy a membership at, but I would buy some drop in classes.”

“All of the trainers here are great. Especially Kristen and Daniella. They make everyone feel so important and not judged. They try to motivate you with intense kindness and will tell you when you need to get your act together, without judgment or cruelty. I haven't been a part of many gyms, but I'm so glad I am a part of this one!”

“I know it can be intimidating seeing people who are fit walking around when your just beginning. But that was me just over 2 years ago, I didn't know anything really. I watched a couple YouTube videos and used Crunch's personal trainers to get started. I've learned and grown so much as a person because of my fitness journey. I seriously don't know where I'd be without Crunch Bellmore. It's always clean, the staff is always nice, it's a good gym to start your transformation. If you see me there don't hesitate to say what's up, I'll spot you or talk to you, trust me it can be intimidating in the beginning. Find someone cool like me and you're set. FR tho I don't get the bad reviews, it's a gym they ALL have memberships and fees. Educate yourself on how long the membership term is and the renewal fee. I personally buy the yearly package that allows me to use any Crunch I want and the tanning. All for less than $40 a month. If your serious about this lifestyle, it's well worth it. If you're not so sure yet I would go to a Planet Fitness for a month and see if you get addicted. Then come to a real gym like crunch and you'll be much more at home. Love this place and the staff is ALWAYS cool and respectful. I see kids and families all the time so it's a safe, fun place to get all your fitness needs in one gym! LFG”

“I've been going to this gym for about 8 years now, since it was Gold's. Onyx is a huge improvement. A lot of new equipment. Plenty of squat racks and space for olympic style lifts. Approachable and friendly staff which is practically unheard of on Long Island. The workout areas are kept clean. The gym does get pretty crowded at times especially after school hours and the usual times. The parking lot fills up quick. A lot of "influencers" lately with tripods and cameras all over, but, people take fitness pretty seriously in this place at least. Its actually pretty motivating. I've actually never been to a public gym with such a friendly atmosphere. The men's locker room could use some work.”
