THIS GUYS A CROOK!!! I brought my car in for a SIMPLE OIL CHANGE nothing else!! he calls me when hes done and has the nerve to tell me I need a new radiator, 2 Transmission Line leaks, and my brake lines were leaking and were no good!! keep in mind the car was driving fine before I brought it in and I had no oil puddles in my driveway showing a leak so I knew something was wrong! The owner and Mechanic couldn't explain to me correctly what was going on they kept changing stories so that made me even more suspicious of them. So I end up asking how much to fix and he wants close to $1,000 when I walked in for a $30 OIL CHANGE!! Keep in mind I NEVER asked him to look at my car for problems! I just wanted a oil change, and a few weeks before this I brought him my car because it was acting weird and he drove it twice and said it was RUNNING GREAT!! but now he looks and sees all this stuff wrong? He ended up telling me not to drive it and hes giving me my warning " that its dangerous to drive with no brakes " .... So I said okay and left knowing he just screwed me!! I ended up not having him do the work because I knew something was up, I brought it to my friend whos a mechanic the next day and I had to drive FEARING my breaks were going to stop working any second! So long story short my friend looks at it and tells me NOTHING IS WRONG WITH MY CAR!!! HE MADE IT ALL UP!!!! The mechanic ended up opening up my break line and pressing down on the brakes so oil would come out to look like a leak. He then sucked air into the brake line to make it feel like the brakes were no good, then he just closed the brake line back up with his tool!!!! as for the Radiator and 2 transmission lines my friend showed me both issues and they were fine! nothing is wrong or leaking!!!!! THIS GUY IS PURE EVIL!!! and he had the nerve to tell me he believes in karma and he doesn't screw people!!! LMAO and oh yeah I forgot to add that when my mother called him up he told her MORE EXPENSIVE PRICES than he told me because he thought she was paying for it and he can tell a little old lady anything!!! he also told me the brakes needed to be done ASAP and the other problems were not urgent, BUT then he tells my mother that the brakes need to be done ASAP and the whole radiator needs to be replaced ASAP or I cant drive the car!!! complete LIAR!!!! Im a young man who takes care of my disabled mother and we dont have any money, my father died when I was a child and I grew up with no family to support us, so this would have ENDED US! and he almost had us walking around in the COLD WINTER with NO CAR!!! we spent that whole day and night so upset and emotional crying because we didnt know how we were going to come up with the money!! its f****** SICK AND EVIL the things he does! and I know people who go to him and say he does a good job but man oh man this was a NIGHTMARE!! 60% of americans dont even have $400 saved up incase for emergencies and this guy is going around trying to bleed poor vulnerable old ladies and men because he knows people need transportation!! and he does this why? because its tax time and he has a huge bill to pay? its fucken sick and wrong what he does... Me and my mechanic ended up bleeding the brakes and getting the air out of the lines and the car is driving great! this guy is a crook! telling me I need a new radiator and all this crap... yea right! Now I just wonder all the other people you took money from that didnt need work!

I was a loyal customer for years but will never go back. Every time I brought my car in for routine service with no complaints I was charged for additional work without being notified. "Frozen brake calipers" were "replaced" multiple times without there being any noticeable break issues. I became suspicious and went to another mechanic who told me there was nothing wrong with the brakes and the calipers were original despite having been charged for multiple replacements over the years. The final straw was when after a routine tire rotation my tire pressure sensor alert came on in the car even though the pressures were correct. David told me the sensors were bad and needed to be replaced at $80 each (car was only 3 years old). Went to another mechanic who discovered the sensors had been removed! He was going to charge me for my own sensors! I also had a power steering fluid leak on an older car. I was charged for a new hose and was told that was the source. When the leak continued I went to another mechanic who showed me the rack and pinion system was rotted and leaking. The hose that was supposedly replaced was still the original hose and not the source of the leak. My son brought his car for NYS inspection after having had the brakes done by another mechanic only weeks before and was charged for new rear brakes! STAY AWAY!!!!!!! Will never go back, not even for gas.

The one and most important word when it comes to a mechanic. "Trustworthy!" Have been going to Banner auto for years with all my cars, including my 1968 Camaro. David treats my vehicles like they are driven by members of his own family. Always very open and honest about what needs to be done and what can wait. Uses genuine BMW parts for my 5 series and genuine Mercedes parts for my ML350. If going for Mobile gas, the complete station is full service with self service price!

I was a regular customer at this shop for about 10 years. They gained my trust. I recently brought my car in for a routine maintenance and oil change. Upon picking up my car, I was shocked by a $700 bill. They never even called to explain the incremental service charge. The explanation I received when I picked it up was that they did the maintenance called for by the owners manual. I was skeptical, so I checked the manual myself and many of the services they did were completely not called for ( for example spark plugs aren't needed until 120K miles and transmission fluid does not need service) . I then revisited the shop and now they are saying that they checked the fluids and they were dirty. Again, I was never notified. I strongly recommend not using this shop. They have lost a loyal customer.

Used them multiply times. Honest, reliable. Had an inspection once and told me would need brakes in a month or two instead of nailing me right there for it. Another time had a dead battery (we live local) and they loaned me a battery starter (no charge), then when i ordered the battery and had it installed they were no more expensive than 2 other places i called. A third time my wifes car stalled. After they checked it out turns out it was something Jiffy Lube left unplugged a few days earlier...No charge on that repair....and they fixed a broken headlight and didn't even telling us. As bad as this world is, the owner of this place is one of the few good, honest, hard working guys left.

Dave and his team are the best. Thorough, reliable, and honest. Sure, it may seem a little pricey but you get what you pay for! Very nice guy and the whole family uses him. Here is some hardcore proof that he's a good guy: I bring in my car because it's making a noise. I get a call a few hours later that my car is done, the problem was a bent piece of metal on my exhaust system. He fixed it. How much? Nothing - it was quick, he just bent it back with his hands. A repair I'm sure would have cost $100 elsewhere. Also, you can drop off and pick up before/after business hours -- making it convenient.
