Paid $300 for a full head of highlights which was way overpriced. The dye has completely washed out of my hair. I have been blonde my whole life and I know exactly what shampoos to use and to not get it wet in lake water, pools, etc. I got a full head of highlights here which was RIDICULOUSLY overpriced and it has been less then a month and literally the dye has come out of my hair. Completely absurd. They clearly use shitty products.

I have been a client of Modern Expressions for past several years! The staff is warm, professional, and truly attentive. My stylist Kourtney took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and delivered results beyond my expectations. Kourtney and her crew go out of the way to make each visit a great one! Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch service and a little pampering!

I never am happy with haircuts from someone I don't know and Also my old barber lives in erie so it was hard to link up so I tried here. I'm super picky and difficult to please always with new stylists. Also newer ones I'm skeptical of too. Not in this case. Alexis had given me a new hairstyle which is crazy I used a new stylist to get a much different cut than I always do. Not only was she quick she answered all of our questions thoroughly. Literally the best haircut I have ever had ever. She killed it. I have never been this happy with a cut. I can't say enough great things about our experience. I don't often leave too many reviews. Mostly just for my stylists. She deserves it though. My wife can verify too. It's been 2 weeks and still looks great w no touch ups. Definitely going to keep going to Alexis and this shop in general. Same with my wife. Getting my hair dyed here soon as well. I mean my hair looks great and this style is what I have always been looking for forever. Thanks so much and you deserve all the praise. Also the shop owner answered all of our questions as well and we were bombarding them with them. Glad I found a new stylist near me!!!

Whitney is incredible! I am out of state and wanted to gift my niece with a gel manicure before her HS dance. Modern expressions went above and beyond to get me connected with Whitney.
Whitney’s 15 years of experience being a nail artist, amazing energy, and kind personality made her the perfect person! My niece is thrilled with her fun designs. I wish I lived close enough to get appointments with her!
Whitney is new to the area so get connected quickly before she is booked! I have a feeling once you work with her, you won’t want to go anywhere else!

I stayed in Westfield NY for a month this summer. The girls were so accommodating . I have a hairstyle that not everyone can do but between the guidance of the owner and her expertise showing her staff they managed to do the style absolutely perfect. Thank you so much!!
I will be back for a couple weeks next summer and will time it right to have my hair done while I am in the area!

New favorite hair salon! The staff are bubbly and full of energy, plus super friendly! The atmosphere is gorgeous and the prices are very reasonable. I have super thick hair and they knew exactly how to layer it correctly while still making it look great. Highly recommend.

Incredibly rude.. I tried to buy a $75 gift certificate for my Mom’s bday 3x. First time I called- no call back. Second time, the system wasn’t working and the 3rd time “the Boss” got on the phone to get my info (again). Instead of her being apologetic, she copped an attitude with both me and her new employee (who was trying to do her best!)Learn how to treat people who are trying to support your biz or they will choose to go elsewhere. Yikes.
