A scam. Does not respect and honor federal laws when signing up for benefits through a federal program. If something is wrong with the acp program that the customer has no control over, they demand their money in full despite initial agreement, sign-up terms of conditions, sign-up terms of services, federal laws, and federal regulations. When I requested civil court they ignore my request. Instead they harrass you with text messages, letters, emails, and phone calls. They bill you late fees and unreturned product fees despite them being the first person to initiate services, first person to contact you, and bring the products to you. Also, they send someone after business hours to trespass on your land to ask questions about your account. They need to understand when someone is frustrated with services because of the law being an intervention and requests civil court this is to avoid further problems and additional liability to the company. The only way I'd talk to these people outside of the court room is through arbitration. They are not professional, moreso, standoffish, confrontational, passive aggressive, ignorant, and then get employees to play into their act, which is very sad. They will not recieve a dime from me until we go and speak in front of an official. Until then their inquiry or claim can hit my credit line like everything else does in the United States.There's a lot of scams in NYC I'm from Philadelphia. I share reviews from all around, one of my reviews has over 10,000 views. NYC is no longer low and NYC needs to change for the better. Everything, everywhere is reflected on companies reviews in Google or social media and people continue on with their petty scripts and fake approaches like there's not 49 other states that actually follows the federal laws, have great reviews, and positive intentions. New York is not lit it's actually a foreign Utopia within the United States. They need to have border patrol and visas/passports just to live in NYC. Too many scams, too many demons, too many devils, too many predators hungry for either sex or money. Very unbalanced, disturbing, weird and sexualized. Making things predatory due to lack of boundaries, knowledge, inner will, and respect in NYC. Then when I sign-up for something in other states I will actually get my human rights respected and get what I request. I gotta move out of New York. NYC focuses too much on money not enough focus on the future or futuristic growth.This response was for optimum. They wanted to ask questions. I didn't want to talk. Why? A review answers questions about a business, their services, their products, their workers, their locations/surroundings. The location of a building reflects a business and a person reflects an image of the type of services you will recieve or type of business that's being delivered. I do not entertain delusions or an individual with a hood or Non-American background. Why? Just like people don't like student nurses while being a patient in a hospital. I want my services done correctly and right the first time and first approach or I don't want it at all. The answers to all of their questions are all over Google reviews and social media. Stop harassing me. The company knows what they are NOT doing correctly. The company just doesn't care, tries to set you up, and has no potential growth...Instead of harassing evolve. Make a computer, a cellphone, or web design services or something. With unlimited Hotspot and everything on one bill & pay as you go. Certain businesses will be obsolete if they do not evolve. Scams, lies, deception is a sure way to go out of business faster than staying in business.People ask where I get my review skills from. lol I get it from the movie Ratatouille. I look for divinity or perfection because I'm a Goddess or Pharisee or Queen whichever someone prefers calling me. Things must be Holy or try to be as perfect as possible. The exact opposite is what Cardi B said "Oscar the grouch" in the song Clout-Offset.

I regret to share my experience with Optimum. I was misled by someone posing as an Optimum representative in September, leading to a scam. Despite discussing cancellation, I was assured I could lower my bills to $80 monthly, which seemed like a great deal. For October and November, $80 was withdrawn from my account, and I received emails confirming a zero balance.However, on November 10th, I woke up to no services and later found out I supposedly owed Optimum $700 due to rejected payments over three months. It turned out, the September representative scammed me, deducting $200 initially and $160 for October/November. They used another person's credit card, resulting in reversed payments due to fraud.Despite reporting this, Optimum's customer service only offered a $40 deduction, claiming limited options. Even visiting the store proved futile; I was advised to write a review. This is disheartening as a loyal 17-year customer. Optimum initially blamed me for calling a "scammed number," casting doubt on their own listed service lines, highlighting a security concern.I anticipated more support from Optimum, given my loyalty. Offshore customer service lacked assistance, and there seemed to be no onshore management available. This experience shattered my trust in Optimum.

Linda is fabulous! She’s friendly, kind and patient. She was so helpful in setting up our new iPhones. I would highly recommend seeing Linda at Optimum for all of your Optimum needs. It was a pleasure. She made our new iPhone experience very simple and easy.

Ayisha at the Optimum shop and Hilton my tech were outstanding but right now really disappointed in fiber optic and telephone customer service. Incredibly long hold times and I should not have to repeat my information 3x to a rep. Also at the prices I pay I shouldn't have to do repairs or reboots on your equipment. I'm one more visit away from heading to Verizon. I pay way too much for this service you guys need to up your game

So ..had a dif.... made a call to return equipment , received incorrect instructions. But... When I got to the store I met with the right person .. Aisha... She's the optimum employee who goes out of her way to understand and to simplify everything she can for you.. professional got the job done quick lots of patience.... When you walk into Bethpage look for her she sincerely wants to help you. I thank her bc she made a hard day easy. This review is not enough...

I was a customer of Optimum for 17 years, way back when they offered triple play i.e. phone, internet,and cable. They called it a bundle and charged you one low price. When they stopped offering long distance calls to Haiti, I switched to Verizon because I needed to speak to my aging mother on a regular basis. She passed away in June, I decided to switch back to Optimum. The biggest mistake of my life. First, they told me based on my zip code I have to pre pay the first month. Racial profiling. I did not have phone service for 10 days, even though I pre paid. They told me I would have 400 minutes of long distance anywhere in the world, then they decided to charge me 100 bucks for long distance. Every time I called to contest the bill, I get transferred to a customer service representative in India who cannot help me. I am just going to switch to another provider. In the meantime if anyone wants to join me for a class action lawsuit , please let me know.I wish I could give 0 star.

I have been an optimum customer for 28 years and pay a high bill every single month. I recently upgraded to fios on august 5th. Since then all i have is trouble. Nothing working correctly. No tv for 11 days. The first tech who came and installed fios. Never said that one of my tv s is not compatable. He should have mentioned that first before the install. After that i got no remotes. Tv stopped working for 10 days. The second tech came said everything was ok after he checked but after he left the tv still wasnt working A black screen appeared which said no connection and no wi fi. Then a third tech came a few days later. And tried again and said everything working. It was working for 2 days and then nothing working properly again. I called a supervisor in the dept and left my name and number for 3 days and no one had the decency to return my call. A customer for 28 years should not have to go through this. Then i get my same big optimum bill after going through all of this. This is ridiculous If nothing is done to rectify this then i will take this further. Its not fair to a good customer for 28 years. This will probably mean nothing and no further help will come But i guess i will have to pay a bill that i had no tv for nearly a month. NOT FAIR TO A GOOD CUSTOMER

Cable box crapped out - went in to obtain a replacement. Staff couldn't be more helpful, especially Pierre. Very pleasant and attentive. Just wish the prices for cable service weren't so high. Really need to consider other options as the cost is prohibitive at this time. Bill went up over $30 this month.

IF YOU'RE THINKING ON GETTING OPTIMUM SERVICE PLEASEEE DO NOT!! ⚠️⚠️This it's the worst company you can use for your internet, I literally have this people on speed dial because every night I have to call them to get my internet back and some nights like tonight they can't even help, I am soo fed up with this company, you can't even get a freaking live person unless you call back 20 times and the freaking automated stupid machine voice has told 45,000 times that " maybe they can help without you having to talk to someone and after the 50,000 times when the machine finally realizes that " no, you cannot help me " then maybe, they'll put someone on the phone but you'll probably have better luck calling the white house and asking for the president but good luck trying to get freaking optimum on the phone.

Internet service goes in and out I have been waiting 2 weeks for someone to fix it.Called again they should be 2-3 weeksI absolutely hate optimum and I just wish we had other optionsCustomer Service is horrible

My dad has been a customer for over 33 years. He was offered high speed internet at no additional charge. On 6/18/23 Optimum sent the technician over to his house. They came over from another country February 2023 and spoke poor English. He arrived a little after 3pm to install a new modem and reconnect all of the electronic devices. In doing so he took it upon himself to move the modem from downstairs to the living room without my dads permission. When he moved the modem there was no means to plug in the landline phones. As a result the phones were never reconnected. On 6/19/23 my dad called the maddening phone system set up, got bounced around numerous times and was told they were charging an additional $89 to come back and connect the line they disconnected. After all of the grief my dad went through he had to reconnect the landline himself at his expense. It was very unfortunate for a company to go downhill with the customer service to the point where there is no customer service. I would highly recommend people to avoid this internet and cable provider and look for a different one. Very unprofessional.

I recently discontinued service with Optimum and switched to Verizon Fios (cable and Internet). The way Optimum treats it's long time customers is a joke. So I go to the Optimum store and return all my equipment on June 29 because Optimum's policy is to bill you to the end of the month. You cannot cancel in the middle of the month.And now in mid July I get a bill from Optimum for $285 saying I never returned my equipment. I have the receipt for my equipment return showing my account #, equipment serial #'s, etc.I had to call Optimum and waste 30 minutes of my time to explain to them they're mistake, and they wanted me to read to them all the serial numbers of the equipment on the receipt. Absolutely ridiculous. Predatory billing in my opinion. Just another example of why I will never go back to Optimum.Verizon Fios internet speed is 3x faster than I had at Optimum and my bill went down from 285/month to 185/month (equivalent cable TV packages, no movie channels).Highly recommend Verizon Fios over Optimium.

Poor customer service. The representative that assisted over the phone name is Ahmad . He was not polite rude and question my occupation. Instead of making the phone call smooth it went the total opposite.
