Nice spot. Good location close to good food, night life, and downtown. Staff is wonderful. I could see the last remaining Marconi towerfrom my room!

The bistro closes at 10 stops serving food well before thatSerious management issues as a large group was getting out and many were seeking food. The advice given was to send patrons out to town to get food! Bartender was more interested in flirting than dealing with patrons and servers were seldom on the floor.

Subject: Major ComplaintI checked into the Binghamton NY Hilton Hotel and had high hopes for having a great stay as usual at your locations. I was deeply disappointed and disturbed by what happened at this hotel. Small issue first, my room was missing the alarm clock with the USB charger. Major issue is that one of your maintenance men was at the front desk while I was checking into the hotel and he heard the desk clerk give me my room number. I went up to my room and put the bolts on the door and proceeded to brush my teeth and take a shower. The same maintenance man along with another maintenance man opened my room door unannounced. They said they heard a vibration on the wall and did not know the room was occupied. One of them did lend me his phone charger. While hey were both very polite, I felt very uncomfortable that men are able to just walk into my room unannounced. I notified the front desk and was told that they were unaware that they were in my room. They didn’t have another room for me to move to and I was simply offered food credits for the inconvenience. Tabitha is the manager who I spoke with and she was very rude and inconsiderate of the issues. She also provided me with the wrong number to call corporate to complain about how she treated me. The maintenance man did a sink repair and then the lady who brought the clock wanted to fix an outlet. I wasn’t paying for a room under construction or a room with two men included in the package. I felt disregarded as far as my complaint and disrespected by the offer of food and drink credit. The black maintenance man was the one who was at the front desk and heard me get my assigned room. I assure you my complaint is not based on race as I am a black woman. I’m hoping that Hilton will treat me better than a free meal. This was a very insulting experience. I’m so disappointed in the way this is being handled. I don’t feel like I’m valued as a customer.Hilton only offered me $39 off my room for this incident. I’m insulted and feel like Hilton doesn’t care at all about me as a guest. This experience changed my perception on Hilton and their properties.SincerelyNatasha FabieneNearby activities: Great restaurants across the street. Lost Dog and Garage Taco are definitely the places to eat.Walkability: Near downtown area and bus transportation out front

Stayed a couple of nights in one of their sweets room was nice. But one of toilets didn't flush and both of the TVs were not working. Also what hotel called a soaking tub was just normal bath in a facy alcove. Which was a huge disappointment. And while not a complaint, the show was massive. However the facuet was leaking.Overall, nice room. It just felt like it had not had a lot of maintenance recently, which for the price is a huge letdown.

We stayed in Binghamton overnight on our way to Colgate University and we needed a dog-friendly hotel ?. A dog-friendly hotel that gives you warm chocolate chip ? cookies when you check in is even better. The cookies are as delicious (though perhaps a bit smaller) as I remember from stays over a decade ago in other Double Trees, before they were part of the Hilton company. This hotel has a great location, walkable to everything in downtown Binghamtom, which seems like a pretty compact city. There is plenty of parking, with a designated lot across the street and also behind the building. The lobby is large and somewhat swank for the area. The room was very clean and comfortable, minus the overly fluffy pillows, but I get that it's hard to satisfy every taste in pillow. Crisp, all-white bedding, which is my favorite because I imagine every stitch of bedding getting a good dousing of bleach between guests. When we checked in the front desk gave us a sheet of paper with two nearby parks for taking our dog ? but we didn't end up going to either, as you had to drive to get to them and we opted for walks in town instead, but I loved the thought. The hotel is also right Cross from a place called the Lost Dog which appeared to be a bit of a local hot spot as it was always pleasantly crowded whenever we walked by. We didn't venture in, but it looked nice and had a fun vibe.Walkability: Extremely walkable to local restaurants and shopping. We walked to dinner and passed many other options on our way. Very close to a department store in case you forgot anything or needed a jacket for unexpected temp changes.

Had a couple of minor issues at the beginning of our 3 day stay. Spoke with the manager on duty, Tabby, and they were resolved quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Nice place to stay in Binghamton and very convenient to restaurants and a short walk to the 3 historic mansions that are open for tours.

The room was spacious, and bedding was reasonably clean. But the furniture, including the phone, was dusty. The sink in the washroom was half clogged.Food at the hotel restaurant was awful. We were told the menu was limited because the chef was not in on that Monday. It was nothing but flat bread, deep-fried food, and burgers. They tasted like fast food. The flat bread was so tough that I couldn't even cut it with a knife. The staff here were very pleasant, though.

This Binghamton location isn't up to Hilton standards. The room was FILTHY. Fur growing out the HVAC can't be healthy. Every time we turned on AC, we sneezed, unacceptable. We had no soap, shampoo or bodywash, no washcloths. Toilet was filthy. When we tried to call front desk the phone was stuck together with a foreign substance. Had better stays st the super 8. Shame on Doubletree. Called front desk to be placed on hold for over 5 minutes then phone disconnects.

The staff is wonderful. Housekeeping op not 4.5-5 star rating. My room was not clean. Bathroom has black mold at sink, dirty tile, makeup on door & toilet tank. On carpet barefoot I stepped on dog kibble. Bistro excellent food, service exceptional. Buffet breakfast food was not hot, food precooked / prepacked. Event attended was wonderful. Excellent planning & service.

The location of the hotel is next to the river but not on top of it. Therefore you don't get a real view of the river when you are in the restaurant. However, if you are on the upper floors you will see the river clearly.

Great rooms and service. Located in a sketchy part of town. But good eat options around.
