I towed my car to J & E Auto Repair today after it suddenly started making a horrible noise, and I was freaking out. The team was incredibly kind, understanding, and quick to help. They diagnosed and fixed the issue the same day! Everyone was honest, professional, and genuinely caring. They even offer student discounts, which I really appreciate. I’m so grateful for their help, highly recommend this place!

I’m very disappointed. I dropped my car off last night for an inspection today. My husband called first thing this morning to tell them that he noticed last night a bracket was broken on my muffler (I barely drive my car as I work from home so we weren’t aware until we went to drive it) whomever he spoke with listed off a whole list of things that would need to be done as well as more than just replacing the the bracket on the muffler. He said he didn’t trust it so we had the car towed towed to a larger mechanic who said it was indeed just a bracket that needs to be replaced and we will be spending half of what we would have if I had left my car with J&E. It’s a shame because they did fix my brakes and rotors at one point which I’m wondering if I even needed as when I bought my car, it had 13000 miles on it and now has about 26000 over the course of 5 years, this is how little I drive. I paid them anyway because I just didn’t think I’d be scammed but you live and you learn. They got me for $400 something on the brakes and rotors and that’ll be all from me. I won’t be going back.

Radiator hose broke while I was traveling from Rochester NY to Morris County NJ… I was able to drive it to J&E and met Joe who was very courteous and helpful in replacing the hose and getting me back on the road. Looks like I have found a new repair shop, even though he’s two hours from my house, I plan to have J&E do all my mechanical work moving forward. Thanks Joe!!

We have used these guys for our automotive needs over the last 4 years, and I can say I’ve never worked with better mechanics or kinder business owners!! We were grateful to be referred to them by friends and they don’t disappoint. They are very personable, reasonable and responsive. We are grateful for their expertise and honest work. It’s hard to find a reliable mechanic these days- don’t look any further, you’ve found them at J&E!

Owner of the shop just gave me a hand with my transmission leaking when I broke down on Easter Sunday. He had just happened to be there at the shop. He spent the next 2 hours diagnosing the issue and putting a temporary fix to get me home. He wouldn’t accept payment so I at least have to give them 5 stars on here. He’s earned himself a future customer without question!

Unbelievably overcharges, unknowledgeable about the repair I required, & tried to get me to get work done on my car that I didn't need at all!!! J&E Auto had my car for 4 days following a towing, then tried to charge a whopping $1,500 for a $400 or less job. They said that my car needed a list of unnecessary/unreal replacements...the truth is they really didn't know how to fix my car. I had to get my car re-towed to an alternate well known auto mechanic where it was fixed for $350!!! I believe that they only cater to their long term clients & friends... Overall, I do not recommend J&E Auto unless you want to get robbed!!!

Had my inspection done recently. Appointment was easy to setup. Service was fast and courteous. Staff took the time to communicate with me and work out low cost solutions. Highly recommend and will have work done there again.
