Today was my 2nd time going to Americas Best. Dr.Lu was very thorough. My eye exam was quick and easy. The associate Jessica helped me find what worked best for me and my lifestyle. She was very helpful amd super friendly. I will be returning when my next eye exam is due!

If I could give the ladies a 5 star and the men a 0 star that’s what I would do. The men working in this location treat you like you are wasting their time. Then I went in to have a repair done on my brand new glasses and the man who helped me was trying to tell me there was nothing wrong with the glasses while I was literally popping the lens out of place in front of his face. He’s trying to tell me the lens wasn’t loose. Then after I raised my voice he finally fixed them for me. Very unprofessional and horrible customer service. The women I have dealt with at this location have been amazing and treat the customer with respect. They deserve a raise and deserve to have better coworkers.

Very easy appointment making process online, with lots of reminders. My appointment was very efficient, staff was friendly and to my delight did not attempt to upsell me when I made it clear I wouldn't be purchasing glasses that day. I arrived ten minutes before my appointment time and was on my way home twenty minutes after my appointment time.

Went in for contacts and was told I would leave with samples. They didn't have any in stock and I was told they would call me next week when they came in. Next week is over and now I'm being told they will be in around the 6th. They are starting out with their cheapest lenses and if I don't like them they will upgrade them until I find a type I like. Let's hope I like them or I'll be waiting another 2 weeks and may end up with glasses if I can't get use to contacts. At this rate it could be a month or longer before I can see properly. I'm picking my scripts up today and we'll be shopping on-line. I already found sites that will ship overnight for free.

During the entire process, staff made me feel like I was wasting their time. Very unhelpful, and didnt really answer my questions. When my glasses were done, no one called me or told me. When I called, no one picked up.Finally I stopped in and was given my glasses, after waiting for 5 minutes, it wasnt even the lady at the front desk who greeted me, it was one of the doctors, who then handed me off to the lady at the front desk. come to find out, they had my glasses for weeks and never called me. The lady was very standoffish, and said nothing to me the entire time. My brand new pair of glasses were bent out of shape, and the nose braces were both bent all the way inwards. I commented on it, and the front desk girl with the shaved hair just stared at me before saying "If theres nothing else, youre done with me."The whole process sucked, front to back. Ill pick another place.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! 10:45AM appointment. Still waiting at noon to be seen. No doctor on site. Theres really no point. Receptionist was rude and not at all welcoming. I walked out!

This location is junk kids need to take a class for contact didn't know we needed to make an appointment drove and hour and a half burned all that gas to be turned away I have never had a problem with the Tonawanda location so that may be your best bet.Edit: I have been through the class myself according to them it takes an hour in actuality it took about 15 to 20 mins.

Colleen and the entire staff at the McKinley parkway America's Best are great! Patient and helpful in every way a person needs when shopping for eyewear! For as long as the staff is there and runs the location like they do right now I will always be coming back!

Had preset 3 appointments for myself my wife and my son. Walked in and received absolutely zero greeting, no hello’s no welcome, nothing. Optician was working the front counter chaged computers twice mumbling about computer issues. Not welcoming whatsoever. Walked out even before the exam, place felt cold, not great environment at all there were 3 other employees none were welcoming at all!We are now in LensCrafters, and the experience is night and day! Welcoming, friendly and took us right in.

I was in on 6/24/23 to get my glass. When I scheduled my appointment they said i was due and I ASKED if my insurance would cover my appointment and they said yes. Ordered 2 pair of glasses and contacts 600+ dollars and it was too soon for insurance to cover. Bought them anyhow. 7/15 still no glasses called and the manufacturer sent empty boxes? I asked why didnt someone call with an issue? She said they tried to call people you must have gotten missed. No anticipated date for delivery known. Hmmmmm

This place is a joke. Showed up and receptionist was making comments about how their system was giving them problems all day. When I gave them my insurance information Dorothy said I cannot be "verified" and I have to call my insurance company and shrugged me off. Which is BS, considering its been used here before. How convenient, their systems giving them issues and then I can't be verified. Wasted my time. Will not be coming back.
