EVERY VOLUNTEER there is VERY rude and judgemental. I went to the SPCA instead. Edit: so I'm definitely not the only one, others have said the employees are very judgmental based on appearances, so a bunch of old white ladies will take one look at you and if they dont like how you look, they'll give you a runaround. I was asked 4xs why I came. Everytime I replied, "to adopt a cat, I'm looking for a mellow maybe an older cat" to which I was accused of animal abuse. The lady literally told me, "well you sound like one of those people who gets upset with their cat and puts it outside". Like what? And then some person on here replied that they "reserve the right to pick and choose who adopts the cats". Just go to the spca, theyll run your info through a data base to make sure you're ok to have a cat and they're so friendly. These people at tabby town are very proud of their rights to be ignorant and judgemental. Those poor cats. If you go and actually read the reviews, there are MANY others that feel this way. I can't be wrong if there's 7+ people saying the exact same thing...

they’re racist and they don’t allow poc ( people of color ) in the store to get a designated cat for themselves. the reason why i say this because RIGHT NOW me & my dad were looking for a second cat , mind you we’ve been to this cat adoption center and many others multiple times because we couldn’t find a perfect cat that we like right , so the people recognized us and told us we aren’t allowed to come there anymore bc we just keep looking and not getting a cat. I’m certainly not going to get a cat that i don’t want ( obviously ) so i’m going to keep looking for cats that i would PERSONALLY want. You’re a cat adoption center why are you telling us we can’t come here anymore just because we’ve been here multiple times and not getting a cat that we want? You guys are a cat adoption center many people come and go to find the cats that are perfect to THEM. And when i told them why are you doing this they couldn’t give me a straight answer it was just all silent. I recommend people who are continuously looking for a cat please do not come here especially if you’re a person who is colored do not come here they are RACIST

I am surrendering a local stray from my neighborhood. So excited to know that he'll be well taken care of. Thanks to the help of a neighbor from the Neighborhood app he should have a wonderful new year in a safe new home.

We searched and searched for a cat that would be a compliment to our dog. Rockford couldn't have been a better pick. This place and their staff are outstanding.

Tabby Town is the best! Facility is stellar with large roomy cages, cleanliness, meet and greet room for potential adoptions, communication, and friendly staff! We adopted a kitten and are so pleased with every step we've taken thru TT rescue!

Adopted a cat from here, who we love dearly. But the amount of money we have had to shell out at the vet clinic in under a month has been overwhelming. Upper respiratory infection and worms. When we went to the emergency vet 3 separate times, each time they advised us that we need to stay away from Tabby Town due to all the cats there either being sick, or when they get looked at from the vet that they see it’s not an actual look at. They just say they have a clean bill of health but don’t. We thought we were adopting from a great place but we will never be adopting from them again. We will go to the SPCA, at least we know that they will come dewormed and get proper treatment.

We adopted two kittens from Tabby Town a few weeks ago and had a wonderful experience. The staff was kind and helpful and you could tell the animals are loved there. We adore our boys and are so grateful to the rescue. If you are looking for a cat or kitten you should definitely stop by and see them!

When I visit Tabby Town, the staff are relatively friendly. But they aren't the stars of the show. The cats and kittens steal the spotlight. Since I work in the mall I'll stop in during their business hours on my breaks, to pet some sweet cats. And usually, it makes my day better. What I love about the way they run business, is how if you don't have the ability to take in a cat, you can donate to help them help more cats. If you are strictly a cat person, this place will definitely have you in kitty heaven. I love petting the cats and offering as much affection as possible. It's nice to see a business outside of the SPCA that's no kill, and really cares about the well-being of furry friends. If you are thinking about stopping in, just do it. I promise you will love it.
