“they have come such a long way. back when it was long island shooting center or whatever it was awful. dingy, rude staff, etc. Ever since they re-opened its definitely the best range on the island. well lit and ventilated, little cold but just throw a sweater on. They recently upgraded to electronic controls which are very nice. The shop is also fantastic. they have an amazing selection (the used pieces go to the merrick store), of new pistols, rifles, and shotguns. lots of accessories too. Just do yourself a favor and don't call to see if they have something, go check it out for yourself. I called looking for a specific magazine they said they didnt have, but when i went there they had several of them. All in all, in a very hard place to be a shooting fan, SSSR is the best we got!”
“I had been looking for a rifle for a while. I had gone to about 4 other gun stores. Some were rude and others very small. Benson's is what I was looking for, great experience overall. All of the guys were very nice, understanding and friendly. I have bought a rifle from them already and I hope that the NY laws change so that I gat cooler thinks.”

“Recently picked up a transfer from here and the process could not have been easier! Billy helped me and answered all questions that came up during the transfer. Picked up some ammo while here also and they have a great selection from high grade rounds to less expensive stuff as well. After looking around the island, I found they also have the lowest cost for transfers. I plan on doing all future transfers though them in the future.”
