I have to be honest, when looking for a rehab I skipped this one because of the low stars. The one we picked was awful. I had to pull my father out. a friend then recommended Island. When I first walked in, it was 10pm. I noticed how absolutely clean the facility was. The staff was welcoming. They made my father feel so welcomed. Everyone is so nice. They communicate every aspect of my fathers care. The physical therapists are great. The bathrooms are clean and stocked. My father is a picky eater and they do not stop trying different food so that he eats. the nurses are awesome. I can't say enough how great they all are. Not one issue. The staff answers quickly to the call button. They make sure my father is comfortable. If you are looking for a rehab for a loved one, I strongly recommend Island.

Excellent and very fast customer service! Some of the nicest people to interact with. Shipping is also great and they package the food really well. I used to buy small bags from a local pet store but now buy in bulk directly and could not be more pleased. The food is high quality, has a fresh smell, large variety of ingredients, never any moths!! My birds (2 lovebirds, 1 green cheek conure) love the food and if they're happy, I'm happy!

The staff is not the best but they would never make it in a hospital setting they are stretched thin and take forever to answer a call button don't leave your loved one here too long! Our beloved was rushed to the hospital with two infections that happen in nursing homes and hospitals when patients lay in their own feces.

My mom was at Island Nursing. She was there for approximately 6 years. Went in 2015. At first care was good. The physical therapists at that time were great. Chris and Christine are two that I remember. Nurses were just okay. Had to keep on top of them. Aides were good for a couple of years. Then an RN that worked at Mather too recruited all the good aides and they left to work at the hospital. Not that I blame them. Then that RN mysteriously didn't work at Mather anymore! Beverly was a good nurse. She was transferred to second floor and no longer took care of my mom. All the good employees didn't last through my mom's years there. No continuity of care. Today that is everywhere. Unfortunately, every place is short staffed. When my mom passed in September 2020 there was still no indoor visiting. I could not monitor her health. I had purchased a nucleus care iPad which was always faced down on her tray table so my mom could not watch her picture slideshow or answer our calls. I don't know how many times I had to call nurses' desk to pick up the iPad, which I am sure was annoying to them. The last thing I remember is my daughter going to pick up my mom's belongings. Everything was thrown in black plastic trash bags. Her live plants thrown in there dirt and all, along with my precious remembrance items that my mom made in recreation therapy. When my daughter arrived she was rudely told by a woman named Dahl, who I thought was our friend, she was not allowed to come in. My daughter knew that. She was just standing by the automatic doors. Dahl knew who she was and that my mom passed. Not even a, "I'm sorry for your loss." The nurse, Tracy, at the time on the third floor was even worse. She was rude to me on phone and never gave her condolences. Who does that! Think twice before going to island nursing and rehabilitation.

Juan and his crew were amazing! Not only were they professional but very respectful and careful when coming in and out of our home. Juan returned for some additional work we requested and he went above and beyond to fit us in his busy schedule. Will definitely recommend them to anyone.

Based on the unprecedented challenges of the COVID pandemic, this nursing home deserves a shout out. I was fortunate that my parents were accepted there two years ago (my mum passed away on their second anniversary recently) into a spacious and large double room a few months before the pandemic ravaged nursing homes and I got to see the place in full swing! Islands, due to its extremely severe pandemic restrictions, continued to soldier on during the pandemic using Facebook video calls for residents and their loved ones to communicate between infrequent outdoor visits. Everyone at Islands, from the back office to the nursing and operations staff deserve a

Working with Macrotech has been an absolute pleasure. I own a busy practice that was all over the place IT wise and our original guy would take forever to get to us leaving us crippled for days sometimes. Juan and Alejandro are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to streamline their technology and make things easier! I love supporting small businesses!

Mom's been there a year and a half. Although all nursing homes are no picnic, this is one of the better ones. Nurses are professionals and are completely competent. Aids are fare. Patient activity people are great. Short staffed a bit too often. Food is better than fair but not great. All in all, I know mom is safe, well fed and well taken care of. Once the adjustment set in for her, things became very good. I usually visit about 4 times a week and it's pretty much always nice.

My mother was recently placed there for rehab after a bout with pneumonia. She arrived on Friday night and I had her out on Wednesday after 3 full days. The first floor is NOT adequately staffed for the acuity of patients. The staff was trying hard but overwhelmed. No one at the desk. I saw the son of a client almost in tears cause his mother was not being adequately cared for and he was trying to move her out. I saw 2 families waiting to speak with nursing supervisor on duty along with myself. Thank goodness my mother is alert and oriented and able to ambulate. On Saturday night she was served moldy bread. The first floor is not SAFE. Was very disappointed.
