During the beginning of the pandemic I started shopping there because I had cabin fever and it was something to do and a way to prolong the time out of the house. “This is my favorite Stop and Shop on the Island. It is where I go food shopping before I hop aboard the Fire Island ferry, which is just a skip and a jump away. The produce is fresh and lasts in the fridge for days. It does not spoil as quickly as it does in some other grocery store chains. No bruised tomatoes! No brown bananas! No fruit flies! There are plenty of international foods to choose from, too. I buy my plantains and mangoes here. Every shelf is stocked well, and the floors are clean. Yes, I came to shop for things from the pharmacy, but found that the store has a lot more to offer. I had one instance where the photo book was made flipped (they reversed the order of the pics), but other than that one time, I have no complaints. My friends absolutely loved their photo books and were surprised that such a high quality book came from Walgreens.
