He restored a sentimental rocking chair my Mom gave me for my babies 34 yrs. ago. This enabled me to pass it to my son for my 1st grandchild. He is amazing!!

The owner is very experienced and knowledgeable about customer stain and types of wood. We had an antique chair refinished and it looks AMAZING. He is currently rebuilding and refinishing an antique oak dresser for us. If you have something of good quality, it is definitely worth restoring instead of buying new.

Likely one of the best furniture refinisher‘s on Long Island. I work at a large church and we had Ryan Christophers refinish many pieces over many years. First and foremost, the quality of work is unmatched. Extreme attention to detail, no shortcuts and literally make everything look brand new. The kind of quality of craftsmanship and workmanship that can only come from a family run business for many decades. Taking pride in their work is an understatement. Price and turnaround are reasonable and industry standard. Highly recommended that you check them out.

I brought my heirloom antique rosewood dining room table to Johns store in 2 pieces.. the track had frozen up and separated from the base of the table. The minute we brought the table to his store he professionally estimated the damage and was thankfully able to restore our beloved table to its original beauty! The new track was stained and he also was able to glue one of the legs that was beginning to split..his work is impeccable..so good in fact you cannot tell there was any damage..You will NOT find another person ANYMORE with such attention to detail as John...Cannot praise his work enough!!

John does amazing work. I brought two pieces of antique furniture that have been in my family to John for restoration. He restored the first piece, a sewing cabinet, beyond my expectations. He was able to have it completed just before Christmas so that my mother could see it. My mother was moved to see what John had done. It had belonged to her mother. I am looking forward to seeing the second piece, a chest, which required more work. I highly recommend John!

We have a solid cherry table and chair kitchen set that the finish became soft and sticky. John did a wonderful job “renewing” our beautiful furniture.

I had John repair/refinish some furniture of mine that had been in my family for generations. These pieces were very sentimental to us so I was adamant about whoever did the work, would do it right. John walked me through everything that needed to be done and was extremely thorough. He treated my things with care as if they were his own. His work is impeccable. His pricing was excellent. I was blown away by the finished product. He is a master of his craft and I highly recommend him for any and all of your furniture refinishing and repairs.
