Chateau Wines is a favorite for special dinners in Bolton Landing, offering a great location by the lake. The food is very good to excellent, with highlights like the tuna tartare, short rib, Chateaubriand, prime rib, carrot cake, cheese board, and bread service. Some dishes, however, can be inconsistent—the salmon is a touch salty, the beet salad could be better, and the clams are tiny. Portions are generous. The lovely ambience includes a porch with lake views and Adirondack chairs outside. Service is consistently excellent, attentive, and outstanding, with great drink service. The espresso martini and Old Fashioneds are exceptional. Despite being warm on the porch, it remains a highly recommended spot.
Great food but a touch salty on salmon. Drinks were nice, lovely ambience, and staff were attentive. Would love to come back in the spring

The little neck clams app, was good, but the clams were tiny and hard to get out of the shell. The Chateaubriand that I ordered medium rare, was well, and tasted like a pork chop. And at $68 I was much expecting more. On the positive, our server, (forgot her name) was outstanding and the Old Fashioned's exceptional.
