I purchased a home from Clayton about 3-4 years ago. Trevor was wonderful. He was then promoted and Tammy took over as our contact. Their initial service was wonderful. I found a few things we needed to be taken care of, roof, siding, and an unusual tapping sound in my TV room. They sent someone to fix most of the issues, and they were done professionally. Unfortunately, here we are almost 4 years later and still have an annoying tapping in my house. They couldn't figure it out, so now I'm living with it and everyday, it annoys me.
Not sure I can say I'm completely satisfied with my home, due to that noise.

Working With Tammy from Clayton from Brewerton has been top notch. I was so nervous in the beginning because we went elsewhere and did not have a good experience. One of my close friends told me to please go out to Brewerton because they had a great experience. We went and Tammy made us feel so great from the time we walked in. Through this process she has answered all of our 1000 questions. Even on her days off. We will finally be moving unto our new home any day. I highly recommend going to see Tammy @ Clayton homes Brewerton. You will thank us later.

James G. Was very personable, attentive and had answers to every question I had. I genuinely appreciate not being caught off guard by any of the costs by crunching numbers both high and low as I have to factor in not just a home but everything else to start living on unmanaged farm land. My plan will be to go forward with James to buy my dream home!

Had our first interactions with Clayton Homes. My fiancé, 10 month old, and I walked into the location and were greeted by Tammy Murphy. We were very anxious as we didn’t know a lot about what the process was and have some unfortunate circumstances that seem to be rushing our process. Tammy made us feel incredibly heard and understood & made a point to give us no “B.S” so we knew exactly what our options were and weren’t surprised. Tammy answered all of our questions & explained everything in great detail. She took us to look at one of the options and continued to be great, one thing we really liked about Tammy was that she wasn’t pressuring us. After she showed us one option she let us go walk around the lot to check out other options and then when we went back in the office she continued to answer any questions of ours.
We signed our papers and are hoping the process continues to move forward and we get to continue working with Tammy! I absolutely recommend her and the team at Clayton & hope to continue to update this with more good reviews!

We had the pleasure of working with James at Clayton Homes, and he was fantastic. Although we quickly realized that Clayton Homes wasn’t an option for us due to our land being in the Western part of the country, James still took the time to walk us through details/options/considerations, providing valuable insights along the way. You never know what the future will hold and should we need someone locally in the future, we will definitely go back to Clayton Homes. Thank you to James again!

My town did not allow me to place a manufactured home after I had agreed to purchase a home at Clayton. Unfortunately we could not go thru with the purchase due to the town restrictions. If I could pick a person to handle my purchase of a home it would be Tammy, she went out of her way to try to make it happen.

Back in June of 2024, my family and I started looking at home options and came to the conclusion that purchasing a new single wide home was our best option given our current circumstances. After doing our research and looking over the floor plans for many single wide homes, we found ourselves drawn to the Sydney model by Clayton Homes.
First Contact: We called the Clayton Homes office, spoke with Tammy Murphy and we were able to quickly get a meeting set up with her to talk about options, costs associated with setup and install, as well as have the opportunity to tour the homes available on the lot. Tammy was very helpful in explaining the costs and let us freely tour the homes at our own pace without any pressure. Setting up our reservation was quick, and Tammy did a great job explaining what Clayton's responsibilities were as well as what our responsibilities were to make sure we could get into the home quickly with no delays once it was ready. Tammy also helped us apply for the loan. At the time of our visit, September/October was the estimated build time frame.
August 2024: Once our Downpayment funds became available, we reach out to Tammy to set up a time for us to close on the purchase. Again, Tammy was very helpful in providing us with information on what we needed to do and who we needed to talk to. She helped us work with the Lender to get all the necessary paperwork submitted. This again was quick and easy. Everything was explained clearly, we were all set, and our house was ordered.
Now the hardest part of this whole process, waiting.
End Sept/Start Oct 2024: We get word that the home is on the production line with a tentative date, as with all things, tentative is not a guarantee. It was pushed back to the mid-end of October, delays happen. Better it be delayed a little than it be done below standard just to get it out the door.
End Oct/Start Nov 2024: The home was delivered to the Clayton Home Center and within a day was moved to our home site and installed. The installers that Clayton Contracted with for this were amazing, the skirting on the home was done wonderfully, the ground vapor barrier was also done well, and it was all done a lot faster than I expected. The contractor that handled installing the custom wooden steps/landings did a great job, and despite there being a code issue with the steps, when they were informed of the issue, they were out to correct it and did so very quickly. There was some shipping damage to the home however, Clayton was already in the process of getting it corrected and took steps to minimize the appearance of the damage before handing us the Keys.
My only critique would be that I would have personally liked more proactive communication on behalf of Clayton Homes regarding the status of the home. I had no issue getting the information from Clayton when I asked for it and I never felt that I was being kept in the dark intentionally. At the end of that day, I would consider using Clayton for my next home if we decided to follow a similar path in the future in acquiring a manufactured home. We will be following up with Clayton in the late winter/early spring to get an AC/(Heat Pump if it is an option) installed for the home as the previsions for it are already in place making installation simple. I will try to remember to update the review when we do that to document our experience with that process.

This is our 2nd time purchasing a modular home from Clayton. Cannot say enough great things. Our sales person, Tammy Murphy, was very knowledgeable and always right there to answer our questions. We had a very tight timeframe to get our home installed before the weather got too cold and Clayton made that happen. Tammy made sure to keep me updated every step of the way. We had a lot of questions and she was very patient and supportive. When I hit a snag with our building permit she jumped in and made it happen. This whole team is amazing and so nice! From the delivery team to the set team all the guys were very friendly and professional. Thank you Tammy and Clayton homes for a great experience.
