Around 10 AM 11/22/23 - my family went to enterprise to pick up a car we had already confirmed online. My elderly parents walked in and were told their options were. cRV(a vehicle we own) and a Toyota 4 runner. Neither of these was the car we confirmed. During this, another man is being serviced, and when asked to make a payment, he wants to put down, both a credit and debit card. At this moment the Enterprise Employee becomes enraged - and tells him he doesn't have to rent this man anything - simply because the man didn't understand way he couldn't accept his forms of payment. Mind you this man has been renting from this location for 17 years, as he stated to the disgruntled employee. The employee then calls the police on this patron - and tells my elderly parents to get out of the store, when the police entered. However, he did not tell another gentlemen sitting in the lobby to exit the premises. The unprofessional treatment my parents received as well as the patron who had the cops called on him tell reveal one thing about that employee that is obvious in his flustered state he exuded a complete disregard for common decency and treated us like animals. Enterprise lost a customer that day. I'll let you guess what my family and the man who had the police called on him had in common

I rented from Brewster NY. Their customer service was exquisite ?From the day I picked up the car to the day I dropped it off. There was a small problem with the car and I called 2 days later and spoke with Christian on the phone. I believe he's a supervisor. He helped solve the problem immediately and with ease. I will definitely rent from them again.

My experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car left much to be desired. I reached out to them twice over the phone, providing detailed explanations of my needs, only to discover that my rental agreement remained far from being resolved. It was evident that there were significant communication issues within the organization.Despite confirming my reservation and receiving assurances that the vehicle I required would be available, I encountered yet another frustrating obstacle. Despite my direct inquiry, I was incorrectly informed that the one-way fee would depend on the drop-off location. This misinformation led me to contact the drop-off location directly via my cellphone, where I learned that their responsibility was solely to assess the vehicle's condition, and the fee would indeed be charged by the Brewster location. To compound my frustration, when attempting to exchange the car for a larger vehicle, I faced further complications. The manager at the Mahopac location had initially promised us an upgrade option, but upon our arrival, we were informed that it was impossible due to my under-25 status. Why this wasn't asked over the phone seemed foolish to me and this consistent lack of communication wasted our time with an unnecessitated additional trip to the Mahopac location. If you are considering renting from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, prepare yourself for a subpar experience marred by numerous communication breakdowns and unfulfilled promises. Set your expectations at an all-time low to avoid severe disappointment.Update: It's worth noting that Enterprise Rent-A-Car's response to customer reviews appears to be primarily aimed at maintaining a positive public image rather than genuinely addressing customer concerns. While they may acknowledge the issues you faced, it often feels like they are merely trying to save face.A true demonstration of care and commitment to customer satisfaction would involve promptly addressing problems as they arise. In my case, when I requested a full refund for a rental that was off the lot for just an hour and with a gas tank that wasn't even filled up to standard procedure, Enterprise's response fell short of my expectations. Issuing a refund under these circumstances would have been a simple goodwill gesture, but this request was met with resistance. In essence, while Enterprise may respond to reviews, their actions don't always align with their words. A reputable company should stand behind their promises and take tangible steps to rectify customer dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, in my experience, Enterprise Rent-A-Car seemed more concerned with their image than genuine customer care and satisfaction.

The worst possible service. Steve wants to leave early so I can't bring my car back today unless I get there at 4:30. Argumentative and clearly does not value his job. Don't use this place!!!!!!

Enterprise in Brewster is a horrifically mismanaged operation.Reserved an Intermediate car for pick up at 12PM. I showed up at 12PM and had to wait 45 minutes just for someone that worked there to arrive! Was told the only vehicle left was a Chevy Versa (Compact). I told them it wasn't the car I reserved, but would be willing to take it at a reduced rate. The manager advised that the Compact was $17 more than the Intermediate (???), but that they would waive the additional charge, best they could do. I went to Avis in Danbury instead (top-notch service, plenty of cars). Wasted an hour and a half of my time for absolutely nothing.

Had reservation to pick up a car at 4pm and suddenly realizing that I might not make it in time and so I decided to call. Not only were my plans ruined but this person was careless, and told me they didn’t have a car for me anyway and that they attempted calling me twice. Ohh, I saw the call (which it was only 1 time) and I returned the call and they wouldn’t pick up. They didn’t even leave me a voice mail or an email to notify me they didn’t have anything available for me. And I have the call logs to show they called once I returned the call. Very upset about their lack of communication!!!!!

My car was in the shop, so I went on website and booked a rental after confirming that i would get a ride there because i didn't have my car. I get a call from enterprise Brewster and the man said that his office doesnt provide pick up services. My daughter called spoke to same person and was told sure someone from the Brewster location would be able to pick her up and bring her to Brewster office. That's shameful how could I get there to rent a car with out a car, makes no sense and 30 mins later he tells my daughter she can get picked up disgusting behavior. I didn't not and will not ever rent or try to rent from this place again. He told my daughter his name was Alex.

Super frustrating experience.Confirmed my reservation with Enterprise. Dropped off my car for repair at Meadowland of Carmel. Enterprise wouldn't pick me up as they promise over and over while you're on hold.Thankfully, Meadowland was nice enough to drop me off. When I got there, the Enterprise employee didn't even acknowledge me (in a very small space) for 15 minutes, because he didn't have any cars for the other 3 people who also had reservations. Once I spoke up, he told me that he couldn't accommodate me even though I had a reservation. I called the Mahopac location nearby. They said they had a car for me but they couldn't pick me up and that they would be closed before I was able to get there by cab (20 minutes). They close at 5 and by this time it was 4:45. That means he would have had to wait 5 minutes, which he was not willing to do.While I was waiting and trying to figure out other options, the guy at Brewster gave 3 other people, who arrived after me, their cars. They all happened to be people of color, as was he, and unfortunately, in this situation, I happen to be a white male. Getting revenge, perhaps? Well, it wasn't me who wronged you.I had to call and pay for a cab to get back to the bodyshop in order to get my key and drive myself back home, an hour and a half. This entire exercise started on 6/28 when I made my reservation. Now I will have to coordinate with a dependable rental car company to reserve a rental car so I can get my car repaired, and hope that they will honor my reservation.

Awful experience with Chris. When there was an error with our reservation he told us it’d be almost 4x the original amount we were told, and gave no sympathy or help after that. We’ve used Hertz and not only do they have great promotion codes but they actually provided service and respect to their customers. Such a rude experience it was as if they didn’t want us to use there vehicles. Unreliable, won’t be supporting this company only wanted to support because it was local.

One of the best customer service I’ve ever received at an enterprise. The manger Eugene is the best hands down .

Unreliable and uncaring. Left three customers waiting 50 minutes while manager "ran an errand". No remorse, quite callous. Limited car selection and limited hours. Not staffed for the flexibility needed for business travelers.

Eugene made my day! super helpful, I get off late from work, but he made it work so that I would get a car before work or wait until I get to Brewster and a car one that would fit my kids. I was very appreciative and so happy he was able to help.
