Bob has been in business for 50 years and takes care of my Austin Healey 3000 (fully restored) and super low mileage XJ6. There is no one better to work on English / classic cars than Bob and his team.

Bob and his team at BCI are wonderful. They have helped bring my 1972 Mercedes convertible back to life. You can tell they are passionate about what they do by their attention to detail and knowledge. I know nothing about cars, particularly a car that’s older than me (only by a year ;)). I could have been taken advantage of but everything that was done had been explained to me and was necessary for the good of the car to make it the best ride possible.Do not hesitate to take your classic to Bob and his team. You will be in very good hands.

I have had a great experience with my 52 year old classic at BCI. Friendly, professional and a trusted partner in my journey with an old but treasured English car.

Horrible experience!!! I called to ask to get my 1977 Ford Maverick carburator rebuilt or if the new part I purchase was a good fit, since I'm not sure, obviously. Someone called "Bob" answered the phone and had me wait a week to see if I could be scheduled to bring the car to check it out. Once I called again, he was very rude interrupting me from the beginning, as I spoke on the phone just to not understand what I needed done. Nothing worse than a person trying to talk over you when they are suppose to listen for what you are calling them for. I dont know if this person has any issues but he seemed completely different from the first time I reached out to this repair shop. He dismissed me by saying "he had too many problems" and hanging up the phone on me. I know that as a potential client, this behavior from his part is unacceptable. Number 1, If for any reason he is not sure what I need, he should just let me explain!!! Interrupting someone who is talking because you asume you got the details right without letting them finish talking, could make you look like a fool. Number 2, once it's clearly understood what you are needed for, if for some reason you can't help, then say so with respect, professionalism and be polite. And number 3, I don’t understand why I called last week explaining the same stituation with my car to then be asked to call again, for him to be rude to me and for no reason! Never again, Bob!

I just heard Bob over the speaker talking to my wife being rude on the phone. He made us wait a week after it was explained to him what the car needed to then behave this way when we reached out to him again as he requested. Crazy man!

I took my 1999 Porsche Carrera to them for the dreaded IMS bearing service/replacement, I dropped the car off on Thursday, and picked the car up Monday, while Bob was doing the job, he recommended doing the clutch, and main seal, since he was in "there" anyway. Fixed a bad ignition coil, and few other items he sorted out, and the car runs as if it just came from the dealer, smooooth as silk, with all it's pep restored. These guys love cars and which is so apparent in attitude and work quality. Couldn't be happier, I have several older European cars that will now be serviced there exclusively.

I'm very lucky to have a 1956 Jaguar XK140 MC DHC, a special car, and also incredibly lucky to have met Bob and the great mechanics at Briarcliff Classic & Imported. The car has been in the family since 1958, I came home from the hospital as a baby in that car, so of course it means a lot to me. Briarcliff Classic did a great job of thoroughly inspecting and tending to necessary mechanical issues which have helped me drive it without worries. I am so incredibly lucky they are close, but I would recommend this place to anyone in the tri-state area for the experience, understanding and care with "special" cars.

If you have a classic car Briarcliff Classic is by far the best place to go. I’ve used them for 15 years and they are technically excellent and extremely honest. Highly recommended.

It’s always so hard to find anywhere that can competently and professionally work on Jaguars. Not only does Bob and his staff work on 1980s and 1990s Jaguars to an amazing level, I’ve also use them for various classics from the 60s to the 2000s. I had a pretty complicated diagnostic issue and problematic (in general) XJS that Bob sorted in less than a week and it now runs and drives better than it ever has by a major degree. Thanks again! -TomServices: Wheel alignment

Excellent, old school enthusiast shop that does superb work. It is getting more and more difficult to find a shop that has the expertise and care to do truly outstanding work on British and other classics. Thanks so much to Bob and the rest of the Briarcliff Classic & Imported team.Services: Engine repair

25 years ago I took my 1978 911 here and got great service from Bob and his team over several years. They always knew how to solve the problems on an older car. When I sold that car, I owned cars for a number of years that were dealer services.Four years ago I bought and then had renovated a Jaguar XKE. All the work was done in Maryland. Once I brought the car back to NY, the one place I knew could maintain it was Briarcliff Classic. I was delighted to find that Bob and his team were still operating just as they did 25 years earlier and I could not be happier in how they have maintained this car and improved it.The one area I did not previously renovate was the wiring. They just completed rewiring the car, also fixed an oil leak the restore could not and the car is running like a dream. If you have a classic car or just need a great car repair shop, call Bob and you will find a friend who will look after your car like his own.

Took my ‘03 XKR to Briarcliff, to diagnose a few thorny issues that had stumped other “skilled” mechanics — and found out what skill actually is. Briarcliff is the best of the best - they love these cars and know how to make them run as they were designed to — something that even the factory didn’t always do. I will never take my Jag anywhere else from now on — once you experience service and expertise on this level, your search for a partner for your classic car is finished. Bravo.Services: Electrical

After poor outcomes with other garages, I brought my 2006 Saab 9-3 2.0T to BCI and all of my troubles faded away... They calmly diagnosed the problem and confidently put a plan in action to get my favorite vehicle back on the road. I've found a new best shop!Services: Auto engine diagnostic

BCI took care of my MGB. Bob knows everything you need to know to enjoy your car. Not only is he extremely professional and does a superb job, he takes the time to teach you the things you need to know to take care of your car.
