Her depth of knowledge in pairing colors gave us the confidence we needed when making a color choice and the end result was great. She has also worked with the office staff of our painter previously and was able to coordinate with them, saving us extra calls and making sure everything was right.”

“From the moment I walked into the store, twice in the last 2 weeks, I was greeted with a warm fuzzy welcome. The first time a young man asked what he could help me with and I showed him a color code from another paint company that he matched perfectly. The second time I was greeted by a female associate, I'm sorry I am not sure of her name, and she asked if I needed help. Actually in the past she has helped me before. She made a few suggestions and gave me great advice. Instead of the colors I picked out I noticed a display of your color for 2023 Redend when I placed it with the chip I had for my living room Biscuit, I knew instantly that was the color. I did ask if anybody else picked that color and she said, No. So I'm the first, and it came out just the way I wanted. I also observed the associate help 2 other ladies while taking care of me. Kudos to the whole team.”

Their prices are fair, and while they may be slightly more expensive than the big chains, it is worth it for the convenience, the incomparable customer service, and the joy of knowing you are supporting a locally owned small business.”

“Try this at Home Depot: I went over to Rockland county, New York, to help an 86 year old lady friend install a new mailbox. It sounds easier than it is, as hers was attached to 2 metal pipes, sitting in between other mailboxes. Rusty bolts and all that. Just getting the ancient one off was a task. After planning and measuring, we went to a neighborhood hardware store and bought a mailbox, but it turned out that they did not sell the wood we needed for the base. So we went to Beckerle in Congers. The man behind the counter treated my friend so kindly. He went to the back and found an old scrap piece of wood that fit under the mailbox. Plus, he helped me source the big screws and washers. He spent good long time with us to assure that we had what we needed, patiently and extraordinarily helpful. All that for $1.98. It was good old-fashioned service with a smile. I was impressed that there are still stores like this where customer service is top level, even if the actual profit is virtually zero. This place is the best of the best. Shop there!”

“I normally go to Home Depot, and never get the service I crave, so I went to this local hardware store close to where I live, and 3 times so far I've had the best experiences with Max and Joey, Manny. All 3 of these guys are knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Kindness is such a rare commodity these days, and rarer in the Northeast. Ugh. Anyway, that really goes a long way when it comes to the in-store experience. This is my preferred hardware store now. Thanks for your help and guidance. And thanks for allowing me to use your sink to clean my hands. You guys are great.”

“Herb Lack Paints is a Nyack family owned business. Joseph along with his wife and son are a fixture in the Village Nyack business district.. Don't be fooled by the Paints they have have a lot more than paints. They have a great supply of Benjamin Moore paint, and do custom blending as well. They also repair screens there, and any copy of a key they have made for us always works. Their inventory includes everything from Gorilla glue to snow shovels. The family is incredibly helpful. Highly recommend a visit.”

They had hundreds of wallpaper books, it was overwhelming! Laura, one of the designers, asked what I was looking for, she pulled out several books for me to view right away. She listened to what I was trying to achieve and helped coordinate the paint colors. I sent photos of my kitchen and bathroom. She advised on paint color in kitchen and wallpaper design for the bathroom. She was spot on everything! Looks amazing! Laura has a great sense of style and trust her choices! “I just left the Valley Paint and Decorating Center and I honestly cannot say enough great things about the Customer service. At this time, I am redoing a bathroom in my home and needed help to pick a paint color. Both of the employees, Edgar and Karan Could not have been more accommodating. My wife and I honestly have no eye for color so we brought in a sample of the floor and shower tile and said please help us and pick the color. Edgar and Karan used their experience and eye for color and they picked the perfect color. I cannot say enough good things about my experience, and my wife was thrilled when we walked out of there and this decision had been made.
