“Easily the best post office I’ve ever used. They have a parking lot (!!) and I’ve gotten to know both postmasters and most of the clerks over the past decade. The staff is professional and efficient and even though at busy times it backs up easily (credit a lot of privileged suburbanites who use the USPS all of once a year and equally unprepared college kids from the two local schools), I have always trusted this post office and the excellent service and support they’ve long given me and my business.”

I come to this post office because it's close to us, closes at 3 on Saturdays, and the folks behind the desk are so helpful and nice. Never have had an issue and I've had service by different personnel. I like this over any other post office in Rockland... especially palisades mall where one person in particular is rude and miserable.”

It's in a cute area, across the street from a cafe. The post office was clean, and not busy whatsoever. Also, the mail clerk who helped me was kind, helpful, and professional. “I live in Peekskill but always use this Buchanan post office. The clerk is friendly, helpful and respectful. The mail gets to where it is supposed to go, and seems to travel a wee bit faster than mail out of Peekskill. So far I have not lost any mail leaving from Buchanan. I have lost a lot from Peekskill. Having said all that, I do like my Peekskill mailman, Eric who is great, but don’t like using the post office.”

“To be honest, I’ve only ever found helpful folks behind the desk at the Nyack post office.An example. Today I went to ship 4 separate insulated packages of Swiss chocolate and the clerk (Jessica) was super helpful and charismatic. She recommended the flat rate shipping sleeve to reduce the price and number of days it would take to ship the perishable items. Really saved my wallet and my worry about my gifts melting in the summer heat. ❤️”

They certainly deserve higher marks than what is reflected on this page.I use this post office fairly frequently for work. Usually I need to send certified mail, or documents that are important and absolutely need to get where they are sent. The staff at the Dobbs Post Office are always helpful and cordial. They always answer my questions, and our business is conducted in a pleasant and efficient manner.I hope the Postmaster and staff are encouraged by this review as I have never had a negative experience and they are a wonderful example of what an experience using USPS should be. 5/5 stars.”

“This little post office is not equipped to deal with large numbers of people. That said, they do the best they can under the circumstances. There is one exemplary employee-Greg who always remains cool, calm and totally professional. They seem to always pair him with the very worst employees; the ones that get into personal conversations with patrons while 10 people are waiting to be served, or those who just work so slowly that Greg can see 5 people in the same time period. This isn't Mayberry-talk about your hemorrhoid problem on your own time. Overall, high ratings for a small post office trying to do a big job.PS- a fresh coat of paint and maybe new flooring would work wonders in this incredibly drab office.”
