I had to change the opening time listed. They are not open until 8 am (not 7:30 AM). Additionally they only have someone available to notarize documents from 9 am to 10 am... may want to have that listed somewhere on the site.

Today I came here at 3:05 and found the door locked. I looked at the hours of operation and to my surprise, I realized that it’s Saturday and they close at 3pm. However, there were two employees still standing at the counter inside the store and they saw me. I signaled to them that I would really like to just return 1 item and gave them a desperate look to plead for their understanding (because otherwise I might have to wait until next weekend and the return expiry date is approaching). They just shook their heads and didn’t even bother to come to the door to understand what I was trying to say to them. Maybe they figured nothing that their customer asks for a few minutes after their early closing hour is as important as their closing and getting home in time? That’s understandable as employees are not owners, they get paid by the hours so going extra miles for customers and getting home a few minutes late is not something they would do. But as a local store that is supposed to be an integral part of the community and as a store who claims to serve small businesses (which in itself requires the most agility and flexibility), the owner should make sure these employees are better trained. I’ll rate them as B- employees if they were mine - I might as well hire some robots and they might have more humanity.

I asked THE UPS STORE #5527 to arrange the collection, packaging and despatch of a print I had bought at auction. It was framed. The initial estimate covered the cost of packaging a highly breakable frame. I didn’t want the frame and asked my contact at UPS if he could remove it and send the print rolled in a tube. I expected the normal bureaucratic procedural response: ‘ we do not interfere in customer’s items ..’ etc etc. but no, not at the all: the extremely friendly intelligent and responsive UPS person said he would take the print out and send it frameless and thus reduced the costs by 60% ! Not only that but throughout this interaction he guided me through the nuances of the payment system and other potential problems
A remarkable, intelligent, open-minded experience.
Many organisations - often while they are making you wait hours to talk one of their operatives- claim that ‘customer service is our priority’. This usually rings false; profits and share prices are their priority. But in the case of THE UPS STORE #5527 this mantra is true !

24 HOURS TO MAKE A COPY????? Really????
One copy!
Uno!
Unreal.
The confusion on the two workers faces when I asked to make a copy was almost laughable. The response I received was "it takes 24 hours to make a copy".
If your printer decides to stop working, don't come here.

I recently purchased some art at an auction that I needed shipped to me in Virginia. Frank at The UPS Store 5527 was one of the suggested shippers by the auction house. I called the store and Frank actually answered the phone. I told him what I needed and he told me to send a copy of the paid invoice and he would take care of it. And did he ever. My package arrived yesterday in perfect condition. I've never seen so much care and bubble wrap used to ensure safe transit of anything that I have ever purchased. There was even a note on the main piece to warn me not to use anything sharp. 10 stars to this store and to Frank. (Also - It was over the Christmas/NY holidays and the auction house has a 10 day rule that if the items aren't picked up by that time, there is a $10./day storage fee. Frank must have gone and picked up my items the same day that I called.) 'Need anything shipped, call Frank!
