“I don't know what all the whining is about - when I go into a bookstore if the proprietor is friendly and chatty I can't look at books! The people who work here are nice enough and VERY knowledgeable if you have questions which is probably the most important thing, no? Well actually the most important thing is the books - and the books are AMAZING. Seem pretty fairly priced too, with some real gems. If you're in East Hampton and you like art and books this place is not to be missed.”

“Canio's Books is as if an angel picked up a bookstore in Greenwich Village in the 1950s and planted it, unchanged and unchanging, in Sag Harbor. Canio, Maryann and Kathryn make everyone feel at home among stacks and stacks of books. In a world gone made with electronics and instant gratification and being high-tech, Canio's is an oasis of hope and enlightenment. Viva Canio's.”

“This was the most interesting gallery I visited in the Hamptons this summer. Chris Maynard’s @feathfolio intricately carved feathers, Shane McAdams’ @mcadamsshane1 surreal landscapes, and Christopher P. Stevens’ double exposure cityscape paintings were the standouts.”

“I love this gallery! The location is perfect for a walk-through as you stroll around town. The staff is super-friendly and always willing to take the time to discuss a particular piece or an artist. Monika is extremely well educated on the artists she premiers and is willing to spend the time to answer questions. The gallery is always very tidy and well light. This place is a must-see!! Really cool stuff, from abstract to pop art!”
