I rarely leave reviews but this must be said. The staff on Fordham road is phenomenal. My lil Jazzy died, and everyone was extremely kind, warm, thoughtful, and comforting throughout the entire process. I felt like they cared about my dog, and the experience was incredibly solemn, but I did not feel alone. They even suggested a few items on Amazon to help keep his memory alive. I left the office knowing he was in good hands. Thank you.

I was very happy with the ladies working at the animal care. They were very kind and understanding. I had to leave my mother's cat there for adoption because my mother is not well, and I'm allergic to cats. They took her at the last minute and were very patient with me.

I was told to email this place regarding a cat I saw by my area. It is injured, looks like a broken hind leg. I emailed them 2 days ago early morning and have yet to receive a response. The cat look fairly clean and well fed, my guess it fell from a window or was tossed out.

I adopted an emergency placement cat. I filled out an application online, paid a deposit, then called and emailed to make an appointment. At the shelter, the adoption counselors went over the behavior and medical history, answered all my questions, and followed up.

I tried calling because I adopted 2 small dogs, Maltese. The person that gave me the dogs didn’t tell me they both get seizures. The person that picked up the phone was very rude and just brushed Fb me away.

Extremely hard working passionate people work here and do everything in their power to help the under served community in which they're locayed. Whether it be alleviating the stress of needing to rehome an animal, taking in sick and injured strays/ferals, providing resources, or even just basic information.

Wonderful staff who really seem to care for animals. The visit was emotional but they showed such empathy and don't lie about the possibilities.

Disappointed when my son and I showed up after reading the website and no where said, you aren't able to adopt there.

I love the Animal Care Center location in Brooklyn, but the Bronx location is awful! My daughter adopted a cat from the Brooklyn Animal Care Center and everyone was so nice.We even bought in a sick stray and they treated her and she got adopted. The Bronx Animal Care Center is TOTALLY different.Their policies among other things are terrible.I assumed that ACC was the same in every borough but that’s not the case.I will NEVER bother with the Bronx location ever again, nor will I ever recommend anyone else to visit this ACC location.

They are very helpful to pet owners. They have Pet Pantry twice a month. They give nice size bags of Pet food. It's best to be there early enough like before 10 or by 10am to hopefully get a bag of Pet food as they can run out quickly, and you will have to wait two weeks later. Next one is Feb. 7th if in need of Pet food. You can also ask for the up coming ones.
