Arthur Avenue Retail Market is a vibrant and authentic Italian marketplace located in New York City. Established in 1940 to serve the predominantly Italian neighborhood, it remains a lively hub for fresh and delicious foods. Visitors can enjoy a variety of vendors, including butchers who prepare any cut of meat, fresh produce sellers, and stores offering dry goods. The market features several restaurants and sandwich shops, with popular options like mortadella and broccoli raab sandwiches and outstanding pizza, especially Margherita pizza, praised as the best ever. The market is also well-known for its Italian products, wine, cigars, and pastries such as Fritella and baklava, which are highly recommended and frequently promoted on social media. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, with engaging staff who are eager to share their knowledge and connect with customers. Many vendors offer specialty items, including offal and fresh rabbits, making it a unique shopping experience. The market resembles a European food hall with a variety of stores and a communal feel. It is a great place for both quick bites and exploring Italian culture through food, making it a must-visit spot for locals and tourists alike.
Great place for Delicious food! It's an unique experience! Fresh pasta, cooked food from one of the restaurants inside! There is even a bar that you can drink and order/ eat food from the other restaurants!

Phenomenal market with produce, meat, deli, coffee shop, and more. A must stop. My favorite were the handmade cigar rollers. Almost too much to type. Just look at the photos. HIGHLY recommend.
