“For more than 20 years, Ron Klein prepared my taxes. We were both former educators, and I always felt that he brought that same spirit of teaching, patience, and service to his work.
There was a period in my life when I had fallen several years behind on filing my taxes. As a business owner, I knew the situation was serious, and I carried a tremendous amount of stress and shame about it. I finally gathered everything together and brought it to Ron.
He took care of it all.
When everything was finished and I asked what I owed him, he simply said, “Pay me later. Don’t worry about it.”
I don’t think I’ll ever forget that moment.
Getting caught up on years of taxes felt like a thousand-pound weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Then, for Ron to remove the immediate financial pressure as well—that was an act of grace. I experienced it as God’s grace working through him.
Ron was incredibly knowledgeable, but what stands out to me all these years later isn’t just his expertise. It’s his kindness. He made difficult things feel manageable. He treated people with dignity when they needed it most.
Sadly, Ron passed away not long after that tax season. I still think of him often and remain deeply grateful for what he did for me.
